so say you opt not to renew your marriage, and the marriage is automatically dissolved after the 7 years...is it, to each their own? Who is granted rights over property and children?

this would cause a large amount of paper work for young couples, and added costs to being married because it would probably be required to have pre-nuptial agreements.

It feels like a saggy old lady just trying to grab some attention after the eye of the public has become bored of the way she treats her ex husband.

yeah, she seems like an attention whore. kinda like that senetor who wanted the draft back in america. it is pretty much saying "look at me! look at me! hello? look at me!"

and it would cause too many problems. it probebly wont happen.

Divorce is legal and available to anyone who wants it in Germany. All this crap is just nonsense being spouted out of a really sandy vagina that hasn't been touched in a long time.

Think you're pretty clever...

So would you have to have another cerimony or would you just check a form under "sticking with it"? Could people delay their re-marrage for a couple weeks to sleep with cheap womenguilt free? Would Germany's economy collapse from the purchase of that many dresses that are only worn once?

I have nothing against people who can use pot and lead a productive life. It's these sanctimonius hippies that make me wish I was a riot cop in the 60's

It's not like marriages here in the U.S.A are any better.

Yeah, that's the stupid thing, there's already provisions for people to do this if they want to, this person just wants to thrust it upon everybody. If I get married some day in the future, I'm going to be damn sure it's not to someone i want to leave after seven years.

then comes in the religious zealots who actually controlled marriage before the governments go into it...

they coined the term, so people will obviously be very upset. Despite what the numbers say, the idea of marriage is that it's permanent, 'til death'.

You make a fucking awesome points. This whore wants everyone to get divorced and increase the number of divorces to 1/2 instead of 1/3.

This is a bit of text.

that's true. the person proposing marriage term limits was divorced twice i'm pretty sure and what does this 7 year limit set out to achieve anyway? 'easing the pain of divorce' - bullshit it provides an excuse to divorce it doesn't make the process any easier because your license expired. what's the purpose in getting married if you're not even going to attempt to make it last?
