First, the attacks would leave no strategic or economic benifit from this. Second, he was quickly after the invasion, taken down to living in horrible conditions in a spider hole. On a scale of 0 to 10, he scores way less than 0.

So out of all three blamed parties, none of them get any such benieft from the attack.

There was actually a video the day after 9/11 that was only aired once in Saudi Arabia where Osama bin Laden is quoted saying "I nor Al Queida had anything to do with 9/11."
And there was a Russian invasion of Afhganastan in the 1980's, its the main reason why the Soveit Union fell in the early 90's. Al Queida was created by the CIA to combat the Soviet invasion, even the History Channel shows this!
Oh and here is the PENAC or Project for the New American Century. In it states that the transformation of America into the new dominant force would quote "the process of transformation is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event--like a new Pearl Harbor."
