In other contest news, Max Games has announced a massive Flash game contest, with over $40,000 in cash prizes! The contest is running from September 5th until December 15th, and I'm on the panel of judges along with PsychoGoldfish, Edmund McMillen (check out his Gish 2 video) and Skye.

Between this and the Armor Games Challenge, there are a lot of great opportunities for Flash game developers to win some cash! Everyone else has opportunities with our Halloween contest and Madness Day here on Newgrounds. Don't forget the REAL reason for making Flash, though - BECAUSE CREATING IS BETTER THAN CONSUMING!

The Portal Buddies system is back in operation, if you check your account options. The review pages are coming up next! And yeah, I know about the chain letters and they won't be around much longer, so no need to PM me about it.

The system for browsing news posts would be awesome. Hm, I was about to ask about a way to browse the news posts of the more popular artists, but doing so would be somewhat elitist and unfair to those who are not deemed "popular artists". Even a system judging popularity by awards, views, or scores would be unbalanced.
Perhaps a way to subscribe to certain people's pages?

Right now we're using #3 for the arena menu in the demo.... We'll see where the chips fall by the end. :)

Wish I was a gamedeveloper kinda, I have quite the game-ideas in reserve.
but then again.. I'm having enough troubles with this madnessday thing.
I don't know why I keep entering your damn contests tom.. each one so far always drove me to the point where it made me fuck up everything else completely. My mental state is getting so instable again. Lol I'm being insomniac since two weeks.. i mean more intense than before, I haven't slept for two nights, and I still remain sitting here.
I'm just so confused.
I guess it's not just the movie though.. lulz

Anyways.. MadnessDay is all I can see for now. Though my motivation is due to lol depressionz quite the low I will still fight to make that deadline.

[btw i hope I don't seem too moneyhungry. it's just that for some reason I started losing passion for animating and since some time now I can only push myself enough to pull off a new movie for the local NG contests. They sparkle me up. Ever since the first halloween contest where it showed me how far I can push myself beyond my limit to achieve my goals.. It also gives me a theme, and a reason to work all that hard on a flashmovie.. Sadly I lost all personal reasons.. besides that though.. yeah I could really always use the money so far.. and it helped me big time. I hope it's not wrong for me to use it as a motivation, I'm really working hard to pull off a slicklooking unique viewing experience each time, and in the end I owe you peeps so much for holding these contests, because they gave birth to the best pieces of moving art I ever pulled off so far.]

Haha, some good author news. I bet the UK meetup was awesome, floppy said it was... the swain's drawing blew my mind in that thread. another day 8 looks like it's coming along nicely. RTILS ANIMATION IS GODLY, and i hope it stays #1 on the portal for a while :D HeRetik looks like he's been busy :3
