I was just thinking this morning about how the music industry bitches and moans about how sales are dramatically down and blames P2P software, CD Burners and even iTunes on occasion, but neglects the fact that MTV DOESN'T SHOW ANY DAMN MUSIC VIDEOS. I know that is the exact reason I don't buy CDs anymore. Hell, I've pretty much boycotted MTV since early in the decade -and i shall continue until MTV stops being a sell-out.

i luved the VMA's. i thought brittany's preformance was o.k. and she looked fat. but my favorite was Chris Brown. HE'S DA BEST!

yet all the major newspapers today could focus on was how much weight brittney gained and how vacant she looked during her half-a-performance... i didn't watch the VMAs (and no one sitting next to me did either) but i find it interesting reading about them the next day. u can tell who is on whose payroll for what the lead story on the VMAs is. there are the honest reviewers (like you?) that take in the overall picture of the scene, and then the yelow journalists who play up the shocking stories! "brittney's baby fat back backed up!" or some such... did she looke stoned? yeah.
is she the first person to perform at the VMAs stoned? yeah, right.
with people like kurt cobain and marilyn manson in attendance year-to-year, every drug imaginable is represented. who cares about baby fat?

I tried to watch the Justin Timberlake, highly promoted HBO special, and couldn't set through more than a few minutes at a time.
Missed the MTV stuff, havn't watched since they took Sabbath out of the daily rotation.
