Decide to make an art thread so I'll start with my self potrait.

Just looking at the pictures, they're just very flat and bland. I can't really say how much effort you actually put into them but they definitely need improvement. The anatomy is just all around incorrect, go look at people and google drawing anatomy to learn indepth on proportions. The lines are wobbly, so either steady your hand or sketch it a bit in a thinner line first...Goodluck :D

First one looks like it took you 5 or less minutes to do.
Second one is a lot better, in my opinion.
Third one's snake is crap, and why is half the skull missing?

Great advice. I always feel that no matter how comfortable I am with my tablet (which i'm guessing you don't have, which isnt terrible!) that my pencil drawings come out way better. So if you have a scanner, or any access to one, try sketching out first, and then coloring on the computer. Its definitely the best practice you can get!

Now here comes the joybreaker: Most ppl do not own a scanner. However, digital camera works for this too, but the pictures are then too blurry to show as "raw", you need to work on em on the computer first.

uumm...guys..he has posted pencil work..he has a ascanner...i think...and yes, from what i've seen, the art in pencil THAT HE WORKS ON, is pretty good. ^_^

well i wish my stupid scanner cost that much....350 ish

snake if you want advise im always happy to give it out....arms- notice there almost shaped as cylinders....notice the muscles the way your elbow alows to show some bone giving it a bumpy look....when drawing arms use curves and use a guide for now....just to show where muscles sit

well try focusing on anatomy muscle and what not
here use this as a reference
look for skull structures

its not hard to find these things....use a reference and dont just draw whats in your head....stone gave some good advise use a pencil and paper.....draw shapes, read about anatomy.....and what not

Oh one more thing the reason I drew the skull like that in pic 2 is because the person in that band wanted it like that.

Aah, the aspiring artist stuck with MS Paint. Work on softening up everything, thinner outlines if any at all, or colored outlines and stuff.

The art isn't all so bad, just hard to look at.

my scanner 600,which was well worth the high quality scans
my camera 200 well worth it as well
