First you would have the joke of taking a childrens poem and making it dark. Secondly you have the joke of all the panels anding in -ead/-ed/-aid except the last one which only rhymes with itself.

I am not sure whether you intended the last panel to be seperated from the rest in that it does not rhyme, except with itself. Either way I think you should change it to something like "he suffered brain-damage, and now he is dead". That way you keep the focus on the first 'joke', and even strengthen it.

Well the original poem completely rhymes.
Two little monkeys jumping on a bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said
No more monkeys jumping on the bed.

I was contemplating making the last panel rhyme, but I felt that making it completely disregard the rhyming scheme made it stand out much more. I know it's hard to portray when you read it, but it's best to read the first three panels in a light-hearted rhyming scheme, and the last panel to be a serious spoken statement. If you want to compare it to something, I guess you could compared it to something like egorapter's easter eggs, when it's all happy and light at the beginning, but the last statement is all serious and forceful.
Also, the dark scheme is just because it's a ironic twist on a children's poem. The kids think "weee, we're jumping. Oh no, I bumped my head, oh well no more jumping." But instead it's "NO, YOU'RE IN A COMA NOW, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT".

Either way, I think it still deserves a mild laugh :D

Yeah, I thought so, I think I was thrown off by the fact that Trauma seems to rhyme with Coma. Maybe it would be better if you used some complicated medical term instead of coma.

You might think so, but trauma and coma do not rhyme. Trauma rhymes with comma, but not coma. Trauma is phonetically Trah-mah and coma is Co-mah.

Yeah, that is the entire point. At first glance you would say it doesnt rhyme, then you start to wonder wether it was maybe intended to rhyme, but didnt quite....
I found it distracting, that is all I mean to say. As I said, It is your piece so keep it the way you want it, but personally I would have changed it.

If the last panel rhymed it wouldn't be funny.
It'd just be generic humour.

Here's my piece for the Castle Collab. The original hand drawing is on the left. I then scanned it, traced it and coloured in in photoshop. Fairly simplistic.

Woo NG Sketchbook Tour 2009 piece. A bit of a parody on the "Get New Item" from the Zelda series, a bit of a tribute to all the artists who've put hard work into their pieces for this years' Tour.

And yes that is an angry faic navi

'own' and 'pwn' are the most laughable and pathetic words in the interwebs language. And I can 'own' your friend, so go tell him he can dance.

Actually no, I really wasn't sure what to do. But a few weeks ago The Zelda Collab was on the front page, and that kind of inspired me a little. Also, I was watching some "get item" parodies on youtube, so that made me decide that I wanted to do my own version of a "get item" for the Tour.

So, it's getting late (I go to bed now at 10 due to waking at 5 for work so that I can grab 7 hours), and I didn't feel like going to sleep extremely early. So, I decided to dabble in practicing human muscle anatomy. So, I googled up an image, and went to work. This is what I came up with in about 10-15 minutes.

Well, since the Notepad Collab has been out for a while now, and since the easter eggs are incredibly easy to find, I guess I may as well post my easter egg for the Collab.
I present to you... BIOCOCK (yes, an immature parody of bioshock)
And yes, that is a big daddy with a giant penis in place the a drill.

Been a bit since anything has gone here. Here's a collage of all the characters I made for ReNaeNae's colour-an-alien thread. Higher quality in the art portal here.
