A simple summary; VP tells black kids they can sit wherever the hell they want; white kids threaten to murder black kids, principal recommends expulsion, and racist superintendent refuses. Following the incident;

A group of white assholes beat a defenseless black man with glass bottles and other deadly weapons. The result? One assaulter is tried for a misdemeanor.

A group of black assholes beat a defenseless white kid with out any weapons. The result? Every single one is tried for attempted murder.

The american courts are racialy biased. I know that from first hand experience, but it's hard to blame them sometimes, if you send a scrawny 18 yearold white boy to a federal pen your probably signing his death warrant after all.

In either Case... They should be changed for Attempted murder [In my mind attempted murder is no better than murder] as well as a hate crime... Also possible Harrassment and Threathening to Kill.

So long as the evidence is sufficient and [hopefully] they try this in a court outside the general area.

Well I can't speak for every city, but the philadelphia courts are racist. It is entirely common for a white man not to go to jail for an offense that a black man will be jailed for.

well, the best way to avoid going to jail is to not commit any crimes. if you commit no crime, then whether or not the courts are racist has no bearing on you. Also, to avoid getting your ass kicked, don't start trouble. if the tree is being used by a bunch of white supremacists, and you're not white, then you should probably stay away from that tree. and if you're black and go to a white party, then don't be surprised when they turn on you. Sometimes you should just stay away from where you're not welcome, instead of saying, "I'm gonna prove a point!" and go do something stupid.

Mingling is the best way for the racial tensions to end... but it has to be by choice... [Life isn't in the model of a civil rights video scenario] Unfortunatly.... anyone who needs the help of ending racial tensions would never choose to intermingle in the first place.

Sharpton strikes me as the kind who wants the world to be as hostile to rascism as possible to promote in his mind and in the mind of many people a better more intergrated world.

He's probably confident this can be acheived by showing how Evil rascism really can be... "The ends justify the means" As they say.

He may however be neglecting how some of his more devout followers would look towards white people. after long exposer to his program...

Of course. If it wasn't for his schtick of "the white man keeping the black man down," he wouldn't have any paper-thin reason at all to draw media attention to himself. It's an implied sentiment that can be easily found in the speech of media darlings such as Sharpton. A very easy case to point out would be Kanye West's famous "Bush hates black people" crack, Louis Farrakan claiming the Levee's in New Orleans were bombed with the intent to create a new "White" new Orleans, and then of course, this little gem from Sharpton....

"There is a systemic and methodical strategy to eliminate our people from doing business off 125th Street. I want to make it clear ... that we will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." On the Freddie's Fashion Mart Incident.

His followup quote was just was memorable.

or to flare up. Personally I live close to a trailer park that is loaded with blacks, and they drive me absolutely mad with their loud music in the middle of the night on my rare day off. I thought a jury had to be a jury of peers. I know jury selections, at least in my experience, try to pick a variety of people of different racial backgrounds.

That county had a lot black people, couldn't they make the jury an equal of black and white mixture?
I seriously can't see a total White jury in the South give a Black guy a justifiable sentence. White people get it easier than Blacks when it comes in terms of being thrown the book.

Unless the individual White jury person gets questioned on his views on Black issues, or the court finds a way to make race invisible to the jury, those potential jury canidates that view Black people unfavorably should not be on trial at all.

i had blak people all adults while i was a child.

they tried to kidnap me.

a couple of times jumped me and a friend with knives and bottles and bricks.

this happened in reality to me years bak,till this day i get racist blaks attaking me.

I live in a predominately black town, I know the feeling currupted. Most of the white kids assimilated into the black culture, which pretty much left me, singled out by everyone for being "white and damned proud of it!" they tried breaking me of my whiteness by threats, violence, and other means. However, I fought back, ruthlessly. They tried using words on me, but I returned with words that would make a sailor's jaw hit the ground. I was a fat kid, so that didn't help anything. Often it would turn violent when a few of the black kids decided they would beat up the white fat boy for not acting black. More often than not I was the only one walking away from the fight. I learned to use downright vicious moves, like kicks to the knee, spraining ankles and wrists by twisting them, and shots to the throat and other vital areas. Eventually I learned to use grabs and throws as some of the smaller ones were hard to hit, but were easy to latch on to as they moved in to strike. the ones that had an afro were especially easy to grab, just snatch the 'fro and beat the hell out of them.

for such "tough" guys they sure couldn't take a hit.

I don't feel like registaring, but all I gotta say is that the White side started this when school officals downsized a hate crime (the nooses in the tree) to school prank. However, I understand that ultimately both sides are at fault.

But why can't these White posters see the injustice of labeling two hate crimes on black people as high school shaninigans... but when the situtation is reversed, it's attempted murder?

The school was the one that told the students they can sit wherever the hell they want, whenever they want, and the school was also the one recommending expulsion. It was a moronic fucking Super-Intendent that labelled it a prank.
