Ah, I knew Ryan deserved and would get Weekly First. Voted five every day since it was released to make sure of it. He missed out on any Weekly Awards on Alberqurque, so bout time he got one.

Impossible Quiz 2 didn't deserve anywhere near that, but oh well. I suppose others found some sort of enjoyment in it.

Ruined was great. Well, I enjoyed it. Too many people complained about voices (which I suggested needed some improvement, but it wasn't worth all the whining some of these people are making) and the humor. The humor was good. It was amusing and somewhat funny. Not everything can be the next Simpsons, people. Besides which, many of you reviewers thought "All Your Pie" was funny and therefore obviously lack any proper sense of humor outside your fanboyish existence. Ah, and I must end this with the obligatory "BLARG!!!".

Seriously, a heavily-tweened demo reel spending that much time on the front page and winding up with a 4.12?

I know I shouldn't be but I'm pissed I didn't get a daily award, since I put a lot of work into my flash and for it to get bombarded with 0's just so someone else would win? Not cool.

The daily awards were ok today, except hungry are the dead, the survival horror games are getting old fast.

That's not very nice. At least I actually know how to work tweens to good effect. And it wasn't even on FP for that long. It's not like 7th place in the week is a big deal anyway. I guess it's probably more of a whingeable fact since P-Bot started posting top tens instead of top fives.

Unfortunately, with the maximum amount of movies permitted on the front page being limited to eight at a time, usually on the Feature and Second get on nowadays, and occasionally a third. It used to be awards nearly guaranteed a front page, but with the games (including many low-scoring awardless ones) now taking up way more space than they ever have before, those who don't win awards have less chance than ever of making it there.
Of course, there are exceptions. iPhone made front page (it was hilarious of course, and deserving) without an award.

My apologies for sounding so bitter. Really wasn't.
Of course, I still hold it was seriously overrated. Especially for a demo reel. I've seen so many great demo reels by other artists with tons of professional-quality work displayed in them that never got an award or a second on the front page, that to see yours there was somewhat irritating. And especially some of the reviews. Your fan base is starting to become as fanatically nauseating as Legendary Frog's.

But, yeah, I have to say it was nice to see you try out some new stuff recently. I have noticed.

And, uh, to everyone else reading this and my previous comments, don't take my posts so seriously. I really don't want to start any more P-Bot e-drama here.

yeah, theres probably not much of a chance seeing as it is awardless, but we're hope that it's unique nature will let it go our way.

Well I kinda agree with that in a sense. A lot of the demo reels I've seen as of late tend to barely make it out of the green zone. I think it might be cos some of the them are video-oriented and NGers don't really think much of video-embedded submissions, whereas mine was assembled straight from the flas, with some editing focused on fitting the music. I also guess the main issue with demo reels on NG isn't so much the quality of the content as it is the ability to hold the viewer's interest, as some of examples of awesome animation can be a bit of a bore if it's not presented in an exciting way.

Also, I'm kinda pissed how many reviews on my thing consisted of 'Hi, my name is Teddy' crap. This isn't Youtube.

Psycosis91, there was no organized attack on anyone's movie. At least not from the Clockcrew. I posted my movie on the CC forums, which instantly brought alot of attention to my movie and gave it a nice boost (which is the advantage of being in an art community), but that's it buddy.

Yeah I know there wasn't a planned attack, I just hate it when my movies dropped drastically with just a couple of votes, and they don't even review to say why they hated it, it makes me think it was people wanting the other movies to get an award. :/

sorry man, it happens to everything, basically, this is how the portal works: movie is sent into portal. stat whores vote 5 or 0 until it passes judgement, usually with a hugely inflated score if it was good. then once people actually SEE the score, they go "wow thats way too high" and they vote it lower. pretty much everything loses points between when it comes out of judgement, and when its out of the most recent 50.
