I have only two people I admire in the entire world...Sonny Barger, and Fidel Castro. Why Castro? Anyone who can start out as a prospect baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates, end up overthrowing a dictator, and becomes the beloved leader of a communist country despite being picked on constantly by the USA, is a hero in my books.
Long Live Fidel!

I wouldn't say I admire Fidel, but I do find him sort of a comical sidenote in history. I mean, he's a Communist leader, which I suppose is bad, but he's also a very old man, which is just funny. We need to leave Castro alone -- not like he's in the position to hurt anyone anyway. I don't know, there's something lovable about the ol' guy. I wouldn't consider him evil, just...shrewd...

political hero(es): Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Andrew Jackson, Karl Marx, Adolph Hitler, and Karl Rove.

Now keep in mind i did say POLITICAL... heres why

Thomas Jefferson- Wrote Declaration of Independence (more important than Constitution in my opinion), talked about how slavery was wrong but had slaves AND slept with (at least) one, was 3rd US president... i just want to model my political career after that guy...

Ben Franklin- lived in philly, most respected member of the continental congress, diplomat to france, great one-liners, inventor... definitely the kind of guy you want on your team...

Andrew Jackson- only guy ever to win a battle for a war AFTER the war was over, great general, started political parties, first guy to rely on his 'kitchen cabinet', last pres to have the US not in debt... fierce on the battlefield, and just as fierce off of it...

Karl Marx- in theory communism is the best type of government... IN THEORY...

Adolph Hitler- became dictator legally (albeit burned reichstag illegally and blamed on communist and jews... and had like 12 million people killed)

Karl Rove- got a failed businessman, former crack user, governor of a big state for 2 years elected president, also i want to be as feared and revered as he is...

I like him because he alledgy fathered 24 bastardish children.

Agreed. Only if all humans were equal. not lazy

I just noticed that Ronald Reagan and FiIdel Castro have alot in common. Notably, theyr'e both ex superstars who have made it big in politics while lacking any form of intelligence!

My hero is Nelson Mandela. Any manable to withstand that many years in prison is a hero in my perspective. Except if they deserved to go. You know what I mean.

I always considered Ronald Reagan just a confused Democrat. Of course, now he's just a confused human being.

Well alzheimer sure isn't helping him. Not meant as an insult; alzheimer is a very uncool disease.

Chief Sitting Bull and Che Guevara because they gave their lives trying to end America's Imperialism on citizens of third-world couontries while boasting the freedom they have in their own country.

Michael Moore, Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky because they'd rather expose the truth than to try to overthrow the government through violent means.

Not really mine, but Hamilton and Madison for pushing so hard for ratification of our Constitution. Plus, Madison for writing all the things he did.

I got to say Chief Joseph, probably one of the most heart felt and heart sinking speeches in American history.
Franklin Roosevelt brought American Foreign policy to what it is today (sometime not that great) and one of the best one-liners in history "I speak softly and carry a big stick"

I read many articles abut the possibility of Hitler being gay. One example is that a writing anylisist analysed Hitler's handwritting and deducted that it was written from a person with distinctively female qualitys. Freaky.

Yes, but just because you exhibit some female qualities doesn't make you gay. I've heard this debate quite a bit and I tend to disagree -- I feel he was more Asexual.

although i have to question horowitz... hes no different than coulter, shout and complain about the left wing conspiracy...

i dunno perhaps instead of blaming others and the far right-wingers quit bitching and moaning and take responsibilty for their failures maybe i would actually listen to them... but since they dont i wont...

also the far left-wingers i dont really know anyone that is considered far left wing... although im not a fan of extremists... although it is fun to play extremist guy every once in a while...

Not only that but looking into his family tree we find Adolf's grandfather on his father's side was Jewish, just thought I'd throw that in as well

Margaret Thatcher - for limiting government, breaking the abusive power of Britains rampant unions in the 1980s and asserting sovereignty in the Falklands.

David Horowitz - incredible essayist and conservative thinker. He also has the guts to stand up and expost the leftist censorship in universities today. Most of all, he was once a leading leftist in the 1960s.

Walter E. Williams - great political essays. He's a professor of economics (can't remember the name of the school).

Milton Friedman - one of the greatest economic thinkers ever and an ardent supporter of the free market

Ronald Reagan - for leading America out of the Carter-era "doom & gloom", cutting taxes, endeavoring to limit government and spending the Soviet Union into obselesence.

although i have to question horowitz... hes no different than coulter, shout and complain about the left wing conspiracy...

You've got a very colored view of him, then. His works are always well thought out and carefully reasoned. As for him and Ann Coulter, read The Trouble with "Treason".

You can be my hero, Teddy. Even if you're a canuck. I'll just imagine a slightly more rotund T.R. drifting down an ice-filled river in a canoe. Which isn't that far from the actual Teddy Roosevelt, actually.
