I was watching The British House of Commons on C-SPAN, and got to thinking....

What if Bush had to stand up and take the shit that was being thrown at him like Tony Blair does?

I think he would break down and cry.

I think you need kicked in the balls. George Bush is no pussy, he is intelligent(That is why it is funny as hell to picture him a retard) and Bush does get a lot of shit. Everyleader of any Middle Eastern Country wants him dead, (Besides say Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait). You are really stupid to say that he would break down and cry. Dam dude.

The fact is, George Bush's administration has enough intelligence to keep him away from that kind of fire -- even if it means sacrificing Colin Powell or Donald Rumsfeld when it comes down to it. Anything ot keep President Bush from taking a direct shot by critics. Of course, this acknowledging that Iraq's dastardly deeds may have been a bit...overstated...isn't going to get George wherever he may be hiding.

Unless the sluggish economy, 0-for-2 capture rates of the last two wars, the missing WMD's, dying American GI's, and the increasing popularity of Howard Dean coupled together with Bush's falling re-election rates finally catch up with him. I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing Dean in 04.

No, you missed the whole point, do you even know what the house of commons is? It's obvious that you don't because your whole post had nothing about it. I don't give a fuck if Middle Eastren Leaders want him dead. That was pointless to post because we know that.

Next time try to post something that is relevant to the topic.

Yes, but I think it would be intresting to see him put in that situation that Tony Blair goes though.

It's somewhat sad that most people's knowledge of foreign government comes off of satire television.

Wrong, Congress votes on bills and laws. The House of Commons is like a debate floor, Tony Blair is challenged to anwser a questions given to him by members of the political parties of England.

I am amazed that you have no clue as to what your talking about.

I've been wondering recently: What language does Blair actually speak? It isn't a recognised form of English, and is closer to an unholy alliance of lawyer and aftershave commercial than the Anglo Saxon lexicon. Christ, at least the subtitles give us a hint what Bush is talking about...

Wrong, the House of Commons also votes on bills and laws. Since the whole point of this thread is about PM's Question Time, I'll ake a few things clear. All questions asked have to be submitted and approved before Question Time, or the Speaker of the House will strike them down (you can ask unsubmitted ones, if they have lead on from a subject, like the Iraq war to WMDs.) And it's only like 15 minutes long and Blair's party do take up some of that time asking stupid questions to praise the PM.

Tony Blair is also becoming so blindingly unpopular that he's on the verge of being pulled out of his position by his own party. Which is never good. It all goes back to having a good PR shield.

Bush wouldn't last one second in the house of commons because lets face it, he couldn't improvise a speach or rebutt something on the fly even if his life depended on it! Iv'e seen Bush answer questions without the help of any of his cabinet memeber to tell what to say and let me tell you it is hilarious! He couldn't talk his way out of a paper bag! The thing is, Bush can't adequately say anything if it isn't a prepared speach, and even when it is, its not very impressive.

Neither can Blair, though - he's had either Mandelson or Campbell write his lines for him since he became Labour leader (trust me, have you ever seen him in public when a non-contrived person asks him a pointed question?), and he always has either Straw or Brown to take the flak for whatever goes wrong - and believe me, he doesn't tolerate failure in his party, let alone dischord within the ranks (Cook, Short, Galloway), nice man that he is.
