What do u think of this...
(NY Times) - The White House acknowledged for the first time today that President Bush was relying on incomplete and perhaps inaccurate information from American intelligence agencies when he declared, in his State of the Union speech, that Saddam Hussein had tried to purchase uranium from Africa. The White House statement appeared to undercut one of the key pieces of evidence that President Bush and his aides had cited to back their claims made prior to launching an attack against Iraq in March that Mr. Hussein was "reconstituting" his nuclear weapons program.

I hope, it would be the best for the whole world.
Some kind of punishment would be great

The problem is that the White House is saying that it relied on faulty claims in retrospect... they are not admitting the truth: that GW actually knew that the claims were false at the time he was making them. They're just saying he made a mistake, not that he intentionally misled the country. So lets put the impeachment champagne on hold - for now anyways.

What weapons? Are you talking about the pesticide or the centrifuge?

No action will be taken from Bush and another load of Bull Shit will be placed on the Media to cover his tracks easy. Nothing will happen to Mr. Bush, and nothing will. There will be a lot of commotion over the demecratic party but not mush will come of this. I am sure he will even win Re-election for 2004. I will watch the news closely. This could get very interesint.

And you, of course, know this for a fact?
Yes, the information on uranium purchases was forged, apparently, but that does not warrant jumping to the conclusion that Bush deliberately lied. He may very well have been misled as well, or the information may have been obfuscated or buried through the inefficiencies and inter-departmental communication problems within the bureacracy. Right now, we don't know so it's best not to jump to conclusions.

Or the mustard gas, anthrax, etc. that we know for fact that he possessed at the end of the last Gulf War. The uranium buying in Africa turned out to be false, but we know that he once had weapons and he's done nothing since to show that they've been destroyed. Therefore, it was and is correct to assume that they still exist.

Mustard gas? Anthrax? I didn't know the arabs where responsible for the Anthrax. The most Likely one i would say was it was some Pychopathic Anarchist with the fear and hate of the US government.

Do we speak of the Anthrax and Mustard Gas we've as of yet failed to find in any dark corner of Iraq? Oh, yes, THAT stuff.

Bush knew, he so fuckin knew, dont just think that coz he looks and acts stupid he doesnt have a clue
The information about the Africa-Iraq uranium thing was discovered shortly after Bush came into power, the information would have gone straight to him, and if you still dont believe it, and you think they pulled the wool over his eyes, who would have kept the secret???
That person would be made a fuckin scapegoat to save bushes ass, noone would take that position

It is okay for the US to go around the world and make everyone follow worldly rules but as soon as we mess up we try to make it seem unintentional. It is all so double standard. If the US just started mass producing nuclear weapons right now who would really stop them? Who would act like "Big Brother" to them?

That's the freedom we receive when you're the single most powerful nation on the face of the earth. We can buy exemption from war crimes and produce anything we wish without fear of reprocussion. We also have enough blind patriots willing to lay their lives down for "world democracy" -- quite a sick idea -- that we'll not run out of soliders any time soon.

Im not going to deny that america is a very powerful country and that it has the power to do pretty much what it pleases. This whole uranium thing is quitre stupid. President Bush didn't even need that "evidence". He already had pocketfuls of others. Good thing he did though, or else couldn't make fun of him, more than usual anyways.

Still, the fact that he knowingly used falsified evidence, found out that the evidence was forged DURING the Iraqi War, and didn't think to come out with it until nearly two months after the end of major combat says something about how seriously we should take him.

Which was a gift from the U.S. but unless he's carrying those chemicals with him, I doubt that they still do exist. They would've found SOMETHING by now.
The uranium buying in Africa turned out to be false, but we know that he once had weapons
Weapons purchased with America's money. But that's not the point, EVERY country has weapons, should we invade them too?
and he's done nothing since to show that they've been destroyed.
Except fully comply with UN inspectors.
Therefore, it was and is correct to assume that they still exist.
Since he attacked other countries with those weapons, defended himself with those weapons and U.S. troops found those weapons?
