Paper and pencil

Apparently i need to stop using photoshop filters as an excuse for art and start using paper and pencil!

So i did a 45 minute thing... the hairs not done... but meh.

I'll be doing more later since apparently i cant draw.

I realized once i scanned it her face isn't wide enough and some other minor details.

Tell me what you think.

well i dont think its finishied (cuz the right side of the hair isnt sketched)
whats that flap under each eye? i think they belong there.
the shadow looks a lil off to me.
overall its ok (everything looks like its in the right place, and most of the anatomy looks well done)

I love it. Youve been doing real life art, the best thing an artist can do. Me meanwhile, havent done it yet and is still stuck in the cartoon world practicing low level doodles such as anime and other random toon crap. Youve come far. Im gettin nowhere with what ive got. Yeah basically i don't think anime is realistic and i would prefer to go with a realistic style and practice before i get into different styles. Plus im not Asian.

The nose is weird, the lines above the actual nose are too straight, I think you should curve them a bit, towards the eyes.

Your art is great, I suck at realistic so I just use cartoons where everything is exaggerated, like big eyes, gigantic nose, you get the point.

As far as proportion goes, the mouth should be as wide as the nose. Truth. I mean, you can make it slightly bigger or smaller, no one has perfect proportions, but right now they look like blackface lips.

pic 1-...i think it shows your better on paper when it comes to drawing faces....though the porportions are off its better than your digital art....its a well drawn picture....not the best but like i always say practice makes stuff.....but yeah

pic 2-...this pic reminds me of that guy off that movie that does stuff.....but i think he may need a hairline of some sort....his mouth is awfully big for his mug....and his ears are pretty low....like there sagging.....maybe thats your style ....but yeah
