I'm happy enough you were curious enough to look at this topic.
I was considering adding my own art gallery, BUT since I dont have time to draw all day and esspecially dont have time to complete them with the computer, I will be doing this:

-Draw your own UNIQUE characters (I do not recomend using humans 100%), creatures, outposts, spacecrafts whatever, and post em here......

-Seriously, take some time on them for pitys sake.
-Those pieces of art drawn on paper are very welcome, so dont forget that.
-Although hard to judge, but please... No.Crappy.Art.
-MS PAINT IS... ALLOWED (*Shocking cries*), but the rules above apply to that!
-If you gotta do some angstteenpuberteensupachildish whining/discouraging/acting unmatured in general, dont do it here, please.

Whew. Glad that thinking part is over.
Now for my 1st piece....
I was wondering if I would have the guts to put it here, but I guess I did after all.
(This is NOT the finished pic, I will do my 'magic' on it with the computer ^^)

Her name is Kamata.
Evolved in my twisted mind, having some updates coming up every now and then, I guess this will be the (most likely) final version of her... with her armor on ( Before some of you perverts get any ideas, I was only saying that she can wear clothes too).

I'll add more info on her when I progress her with my computer ( Yes, I dont own no scanner so I have to add these via [poor] digital camera, so the quality is not that great, sorry) .
But before that, let's just leave her with that.
So, what do you think :) ( Please be gentle ) ?

I'm starting to finish coloring Kamata (It doesent take that long, I just didnt do it in one push).
Next pic will be withouth her armor on (clothes are invented, so dont get over your heads) , just to show a bit more her physicue ( I did spell that right? No? Oh well.).

I dont think I ever said anything about posting your extremely best art here, and I did make it quite clear it is concentrated on 'outer-space', or insert Sci-fi if you wish.

True. I'm a guy who likes to explain ALOT. And I mean a lot (see?). Is it that bad if your intro is big? Then again, you surely seemed to read it trough... why would you do that if you didn't really care about it? Thus I like adding backstories to anything I do. Its not a sin really.

You need glasses, it isnt a good pic I know, but not all of us happily own a scanner, mostly because I would only need it for scanning my drawings which I draw to pass time and have some fun.

Ineed. Whats wrong about long backstories? I dont like "soulless" pictures too much.

mspaint scribble? check

MS PaintISH. Not MSpaint though. More like cartoonish style ( which is a style to draw no matter what people claim.) Thus the future shading will be in bad quality because I havn't got my hands on PSPro .
Thus my pics usually dont aim to be the best of the best in quality.

furry? check

Eh? I have never considered my work as furry, sorry. And never will. I just think drawing humans all the time gets a bit boring (I can do that if you insist that much).

But... Why did you use all that time to merely write complaints about this? No one forces you to go to this topic and read / watch anything on it. Are you inteniously trying to bring people down....?

I understand this is propably not the most admiring topic on Art section, and I'm so sorry Im not such a professional as many of the artists here are, but is it that wrong to simply draw for... fun?
My art is what it is, dont watch it if you dont like it. Easy.

Why don't you grow up? I hope you still have the excuse of being thirteen. One of the rules of this forum is to use constructive criticism, do you need a map or can you find the rules yourself?

The truth is that the majority of accomplished artists cannot say they can draw what they see in their head, even myself! In my experience, there are only a handful of artists that can really accomplish this: Brad Hitch, Alan Davis, Adam Warren and Joe Madureira come to mind.
I think this is physical limitation, you have to remember there is a lot of potential in thought. The hard part is translating this onto paper with a pen or onto a PC, with a mouse(!!!).
Keep it up, you most certainly cannot get better if you don't encourage your own ambitions.

Oh, and do I have ambitions!
Yes, I have learned the hard way that I cant simply draw what I think... So I draw what I can draw, as well as I can, as long as I am satisfied with the pic I am also satisfied with myself.

The wrost problem with me now is the slowness of drawing. I have learned the hard way (this too) that I cant draw very well with PC. I need a paper and a pen to show what I really can do, then use my trusty camera to transport it to PC and THEN work on it... And Im not a fast drawer either :P

HOWEVER, I did finish up my first creation; Kamata.
I'm quite satisfied with the shading though I didnt have PSPro to help me out :P
Also note that I do not always trust the classic 'The bigger, the better', so I have entrusted her to use that small(ish) blade instead (Odd that I made her left-handed though I myself am right-handed...).
Oh, and sorry for the blankish background . . .

What's with all the hatred of "furries"? It makes no sense. By Newgrounds logic, user who makes awesome humanoid-animal fantasy art = user who watches porn and talks like a n00b. Yeah. Logical. And you shouldn't talk, ZekeySpaceyLizard - your art seems to only be creative because of the mind-altering drugs you take. Some people can be creative without shrooms.

I still dont concider my art furry, though I admit my style is an odd fusion of magna (key furry element?) and various other styles (mostly self-created).
BUT, even if it WAS furry (maybe it does fit the criteria in some parts)... What the heck does that matter? Thus I didn't draw anything (half-)naked and completely gross/pervert in the first place.

Because:
-Alligators dont have legs like that (and they dont stand)
-Aligators dont have hair now do they?
-Alligators dont wear battle-armors
-Aliigators are not intelligent.
She just might look a BIT like an alligator (believe me, I didnt think about alligators when drawing her)

Oh and about her scales, I know they are a bit off, but I think she looks better with them than withouth them.

ANYWAYS, I will be posting something else than Kamata next.
Xenoforms (or Xenomorphs if you insist).
