Did it ever cross anyone's mind that America has killed more innocent Iraqi civilians over the last 20 years than Suddam has in his entire reign? And I'm talking about the Iranian Conflict (about 20 years ago----which was done to keep control over our oil trade in the middle east, might I add), and the purposeful water contamination incident, which has killed over 500,000 Iraqi children alone to date (about 10 years ago).

In pure honestly, Suddam is simply the lesser of two evils in comparison to the American administration. At least definetly to the Iraqi people.

If you can hate Iraq when they haven't even attacked us yet, don't you think that Iraq can hate us when we've caused the deaths of almost a million of thier people for our own interest? But, alas, I forgot. No one's allowed to hate America.

I'm saying that the deaths of foreign innocents seems to be accepted by our society when those innocents are dubbed as being among a "primitive" country or race.

I was mainly pointing out that it is ironic of us to call any race/country "primitive," considering the recent events propelled by our current administration and the administrations of the past. Especially the events taken towards those of "primitive" cultures, both past and present.

i dont recognize the second characer.. shit man im only 1st year but im int his summer program at stanford where they are teaching us 2 college semesters worth of chinese in 8 fucking weeks.

Nah, i have always been interested and studied Biblical/modern Hebrew. yea, Chinese is just amazing. A lot of words, cities, and rivers have been changed in China to help the English ppls out. In some Madrin Chineese isn't Wazzup fuck you?

sorry i didnt contiuously post that, in fact most of my posts i belive deal with hard political theory and have very little to do with judaism. the only time i post about religion is when im looking at some posters being blatanly anti semitic *sigh* i can appreciate racist humor.. hell i work for the fucking ADL i need to let loose sometimes running tolerance seminars for high school freshman fucking sucks sometimes.. what i cant appreciate and what makes me really upset is when people are genuinly bigoted and try and hide it behind faulty logic...

AKA God, George Carlin did a nice skit on something like that on Relgion. About Religion being the biggest Bull-shit ever. It has gotten people to beleive there is an invisable man that watching everything you do. And so on

I celebrate jewish fest too. Such as fasting during Yom Kippur ect. And i have found a bunch of people who are worshipping Carlin. Hmm, a Carlin Crew that would Rival the PC. *thinks to self and enters daydream*

Hmm. Not sure what this big language thing has to do with this topic. But, I'm currently trying to learn Japanese. ^_^

Japanese is easier in that you don't HAVE to know all the characters just to be able to read it. They have 3, yes 3, alphabets, 2 of which are shorter and easier to draw. These two they use the most, so that makes it easier to read. However....they also use a 3rd alphabet which is basically the Chinese "alphabet." This, they also use frequently whenever they feel like it. @_o' *dies*

But it's a lot easier to pronounce than Chinese. Most of the sounds American's can make already (supposedly, it's easier for an American to learn Japanese, than for a Japanese person to learn English). In fact, English and Russian are supposed to be the two hardest languages to learn. However, this I believe is more due to our complex and unreliable way of spelling and sometimes weird grammar. I'm surprised that Chinese isn't the hardest. Hmmm. Perhaps Chinese is just the hardest to write. ^_- I can see that.

I always figured Russian was incredibly hard, but I never figured it to be the hardest language to learn. Something inside always told me that Chinese was. We learn new things every day here.

Im not sure which is more pointless, national pride, or racial pride.

probably why my attempt to learn Russian using web sites didnt exactly turn out how i planned...

hahahhhaha no i am not chinese, i am just fascinated by the country and their political situation. very interesting for a political science geek like me!

if you want to know my exact ancestry, on my mothers side (the jewish side) i am your classic eastern european mix of russian, ukranian, polish, and hungarian while on my father's side (the non jewish side) i am german, irish, english, dutch, and american indian. i guess maybe if you consider russia part of asia i could be an asian jew.. plus my great grandparents on that side looked really really mongolian so who knows what kind of weird interbreeding went on there. ghengis khan did have oh about 20,000 descendants so now over 8% of that part of the world carries his dna so anything could happen.

iraqi jews are really rare... but the most awesome jew defenitally has to be a kuwaiti one, because in kuwait no one cares what religion you are, they just care if you are a good business person or not. now THAT'S tolerance for ya!

Jews are ok with me. Im not the kind of person that goes around disliking people based on their culture, except if their culture involves killing innocent people. Out of a city of 25-30 thousand, there's only one jewish family that I know of that lives here. I can't really say what I think about them because I know no jews.

I have a question for you. Do you think South Park is over doing there "Jew making fun of". I saw on an episode where Kyle the Jewish kid is running with the football, and the annoncer says" Look at this Jew run. The last time I saw a jew run so fast was in Holland 1934". I found it funny as hell but i think that is overdoing it by a lot!

You mean the regimes that practically enslaved their own people under authoritarian dictatorships with forced collectivization, mass executions, political purges, secret police and rule by fear and murder?

Tens, if not hundreds, of millions of their own people died from these regimes (USSR, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc.), not to mention the casualties when they invaded their neighbors in wars of conquest.

Peaceful "collectivism"? I think not.

What people that toss around arguments about U.S. interventionist tactics often do is tell a one sided story. You talk of Cold War, yet only mention one side. Add to this a bit of exaggeration and smudging of the truth and you can tell a story about great evils and atrocities committed by evil imperialists upon a peaceful, unsuspecting world. It's an interesting story, but it's a drastic departure from the truth which is that the Cold War was a forty year conflict played out between two equally matched superpowers and their allies.
