Revamped.
The last thread died and with the release of new WiiCade API, I've decided to revamp this. For those of you who don't know, this collab features games that are created to be played on the Wii. The games will be played using the mouse only and the instructions to the game will be introduced at the start of each game. I recommend the you implement WiiCade API into your game to make increase the level of 'gameplay-ability'. The game should be fun and original so don't hold back on ideas. The game can go on as long as the player chooses [they'll be able to press 'next'] or until they lose game.

Rules and Instructions
- - Stage Dimensions: 700x500
- - Frame Rate: 40 fps
- - Maximum Game Size: 500kb
- - The game must be compatible with Flash player 7 or below.
- - If you choose not to name your symbols, there may be some conflicts with other parts. To prevent this, simply place all your symbols into a folder named after your alias.
- - The game should be 'rated E 10+'.
"Titles rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older) have content that may be suitable for ages 10 and older. Titles in this category may contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes." - ESRB Rating Guide
- - You must have a BA of 2.9 to join.
- - Feel free to partner up with a programmer if you are just an artist or vice-versa.
- - In order to decide who gets Co-Author a panel of judges will review each game and decide on the best games. The authors of the chosen games will recieve co-author. If you were part of team you will have to decide who gets to be listed at co-author. However, all authors will receive credit in the game.

AS Info
- - You can only publish in as old as Flash 7 (MX 2004), so no filters.
- - Mouse.hide() does not work, so just make the game playable using the default cursor.
- - Don't make a WarioWare game. It does not have to be a five-second trial.

Other Info
The collab will only contain 20-30 authors. Depending on the file size. Do not include any material in your game that you did not create yourself or without having permission from the respective author. I will not be responsible if you get sued by the author. You have been warned.

You are allowed and welcome to use sound effects but keep in mind that the game must be a maximum 500kb. Also. do include background music as I we'll be supplying that. Also, try not too make your too processor-intensive.

Not all the games will be accepted. The graphics have to be decent [if it is completely obvious that you just started using flash a week ago the game will not be accepted] and the gameplay has to be fun and original [or an idea that is not overused or blatantly copied from another game].

Sponsorship
I have not decided on a sponsor but right now I am planning to go with www.Kongregate.com. I'll make sure that I keep everyone updated when I get a sponsor. However, I wont reveal the amount until near the end of the collab, though. The sponsor money will be divided amongst the amount of authors. If you are part of team, the money will be divided between yourself and your partner.

Lasting Info
By submitting the game you are giving me rights to modify the game for the sake of the collab. Once the collab is released i relinquish the right to modify the game in any way. However, you retain authorship rights and will be fully credited in the game. I will not claim the authorship of your game in any way. Once the game is submitted you cannot have it removed from the collab. You will have the right to post YOUR completed game onto your site. You can not host the complete collaboration. Feel free to link to the newgrounds page though ;)

I'd love to join this, but since I can't connect to the internet on my wii I won't be able to test if my game worked properly or not

Really intresting collab ,I'll be shure to look into it later. Im not good with code yet but im kinda learning but i suppose if i can get one of my friends to code a little game id do the art.

Hey, if anyone needs games tested for compatibility, You can PM me, I have a Wii complete with 24/7 internet hook up, so you can contact me, might do something later for this, but I'll definitely be a beta-tester.

Any game made playable on the Wii should also have computer controls. You could work out the entire game with those controls and then just a get a friend or fellow collaber to help you through the Wii control.

umm.. well i dont have a wii so i dont really wanna make a game for this collab BUT one time i was bored and i wanted to remake the wii menu in flash, and it looked really good, a lot like the one on the wii so just wondering if you guys would wanna use it, since it IS a wii collab and all :P

if u guys do need a menu, ill try hooking up my old computer to get the file and show u, if you already have one then nvm :P

This is going to sound really dumb, but since NG updated a month or two ago... I haven't yet figured out how to check my Batting Average. Could somebody please tell me how to do this?

Good news! Kongregate is going to sponsor the collab! An amount has not been worked out yet because they want to see some of the games and the quality of them so makes games :D

Thanks, about the graphics I'm only a programmer, I can send the FLA and if you find any artist interest in the idea you can ask for collaboration. Please, send a PM with an email where I can send to you the FLA of the game.

So far we have about 7 people and 2 completed games. Kongregate is offering $2,000+ for when the collab is completed! Also, we're getting members from Kongregate.com so this should be interesting. :)
