I really wish I understood what the hell you are talking about, I really do.
The title caught my attention, but then you lost me.
Yay, Obama won. Let's thank his supporters:
-The compliant mainstream media for their pro-Obama propaganda.
-Black Panthers for their intimidation of voters.

My girlfriend has just told me she is refusing to join (that's another reason why I like her)
:so I'm going to make her dinner.

In the play Lysistrata the women of Athens are so upset with the wars the male leaders (their husbands) had been waging they overtook the armory and lived there, refusing to lay in bed with their husbands until there was a universal concession by the men to stop waging war.
of course, the plot is much deeper than that and there is plenty of sex and innuendo.
my high school did the play my senior year and I took a part in the chorus of old men. of course, it was dulled to PG so instead of stripping to the nude the chorus of old men and women instead stripped down to superman/wonderwoman costumes to show their imagined youth

Fli, how does the lack of sexual intercourse with the opposite gender pertain to those who post on this forum?

Indeed the stereotype of women being pacifistic and liberal is quite untrue. Love the reference to Greek tragedy by the way.

Well, the Amazons had to mutilate themselves to reach a certain peak in thier fighting prowess.

Not anymore. But I still know that only two Guinness shouldn't get a man drunk enough to blame what they say on it.

I thought the topic was witty....
Lysistrata is a little obscure for most people, but meh....
2 points for you while making a Classics reference inebriated (slightly or otherwise).
And I've been tanked off 2 before as well. It just depends on what I've eaten or done that day.
(4 hrs of dancing and nothing in your stomach since breakfast= cheap drunk).
Apply it to other areas and we're golden!

Pax Lysistrata anyone?

THANK YOU... although... I was hoping somebody would see my point: Republicans are reallly stubburn about ending war, that... if something so obscure like should ever happened... they would definetly go gay.
Man.
I killed the magic.
Lysistrata is a little obscure for most people, but meh....
As evident by this post... It's a great comedy. Malarchy knew what I was talking about. Anyways, I've seen it 5 times.

Ahhh... you've rekindlled the magic again.
That would end suicide bombings quickly... godbless Aristophanes.
I do wish women did make a sex strike...
Meh... I'll survivie.

Republicans are people and some are gay you moron! We aren't all closet cases.
And for the record I am pro war it. I tolerated the topic because you made an intelligent reference to Greek tragedy which is rare for most people but lets not get ahead of ourselves hear. Not to mention you could say the same thing about any nation or movement at war including the very movement we are fighting. The play was a critique of unnecessary wars not ones of defense I am pretty sure no ancient Greek would ever consider not defending there city state. Recognize the context the Greek city states were in a constant total war that make are current situation look like the height of the Pax Romana when he said the world he meant the geek world which was generally just Greece sometimes other nations like Egypt and Babylonia but they generally ignored barbarians.
