Fire from the fingers?

I was just watching a commercial, for that movie with the skating, with will farrell and john heder...
then i saw will like do some spins and stuff and then when he stop he snap his fingers then a short-8 inches or so- ball of fire came out for like a split second. What was that?

I think it was the flame in the background shooting up.

The way the shot is set up, it makes it look like he's shooting fire out of his hands.

yea it was blades of glory, he was doing a really fast spinning trick and right we he landing he snapped his fingers, which made 8 inch fire come out for a split second.

Special effects. It's a comedy. It doesn't have to make sense.

He had flash powder or something in his hand, and when he snapped, he had two phosphorous strips on his fingers which ignited and set the powder on fire. There's your explanation. Now enjoy the damn movie.

Lol he probably had a flame gun, i searched on google. It fits under ur fingers and then it shoots flames.
