I once heard this pitching screech that interupted my "session."

Turned out that someone ran over a cat, it survived because its tail was only run over.

One time IT was storming and thundering outside and i walked downstiars with the dog and i had jumped at thunder and a lightening flahs right by the window and then i heard this really weird choking boofing throat clearing noise (everyone was asleep) And i jumped out of my skin and the dog couhged up a sock -.- damn dog...

I was out raking leaves at around 10 in the evening. It was dark as hell, and suddenly I hear a bloodcurdling scream coming from the edge of the forest, across the road.
It really sounded like someone was in deep shit.

So anyways, I drop my rake and start running towards the sound. When I arrive, I see three hot girs about my age, with a video camera propped between them.

Apparently, they were shooting some scary movie or whatnot.

Really, I think old boilers make the spookiest noises. That and floorboards, windows creaking. Generally, the sound of a house "setteling". The wind blowing off the house and down the chimney too.

I just went back to bed after going to the bathroom and I heard this strange noise which I originally thought were screams in the dead of the night with no clear sign of where it came from. Fucking freaked me out. We wrote it off as my dog howling the next morning.

You say your house moves, does it wander much? You could get more for your property if it is mobile. Just as long as it doesn't eat people.

It wasen't really a freaky noise but a freaky progression. I was playin Fear on my comp, at like 11pm during a thunder storm(don't ask). I haden't shut my door all the way either so i was probably just askin to be creeped the fuck out. So what happened was a muscle in my ear twitched and sorta made me glance in the direction of the door, at the same time the door moved a little and made a really slow creeking sound. Almost as soon as i saw/heard the door move BAM! thunder crashes and the power goes out. Couldn't get to sleep easy that night

I was asleep, and it was in a dream, so I don't know if that counts or not, but I can still clearly remember what it sounded like.

It was like the distant screaming women and children, cries of agony from men, and the dull roar of a fire all carried in faintly by the hollowing wind. I know that sounds like a crappy poem, but that the only way I can really describe it.

Oh yeah, and the sound I heard right before I almost got hit by lightning last year. It wasn't a scary sound in and of itself, but I hope I never hear it again, if you know what I mean.
