So, yeah, I stopped going there.
Some of the emails werent very good for a while, and then they came back again, but, in a way homestar does preach the ways of flash to the kids, which in turn get newgrounds more users. Im surprised NG isn't like sponsoring them or something.

That's what so amazing about Homestar Runner. They've come so far without being commericalized.
No ads, no popups, and all the merchandise is made by The Brothers Chaps. they don't need big name sponsors to help them get famous. That's called taking the cheap way into popularity.
yes, im talking to you, tom

I use to be a big fan of HSR back in middle school. But i haven't watched their videos in forever.
My favorite vidoes on the site was 'teen girl squad'. "Cheerleader, so and so, whats-her-face, the ugly one!"
I can't believe i remember that...

It's all right, but your little rant made me wonder what fanbase I consider myself in.

I like the occassional visit to Homestarrunner. I usually prefer the old stuff like "Peasant's Quest" and the SB Email "Dragon" and "Anime". But I haven't been there in some time.

I think it's still pretty good. Arguably, some of the old stuff was better, but I think that's just because it had Trogdor in it.
Anyway, their live-action isn't bad either. One of my favorite shorts is and will forever be :
Someone once asked me why I call myself Unimportant. Simple, I said. As a nihilist, that's what I see everyone and everything as. In the end, we are all Unimportant.

I stopped around 8th grade. But I can say that if a song you created is in a video game then you know you must be pretty famous.

I used to be a big fan of it back in the sixth grade, but then I grew out of it. After a while it became very repetative and dull, now I never go there.

For years and years I would go every monday to watch the updates, until all of a sudden i stopped... I dunno, I used to be the biggest homestar fan, and then all of a sudden dropped out. I have no idea what happened. Up until that point, I had watched every second of content on that site, holding down tab to find every easter egg, every time. I miss you homestar :(
Plus Tom and I have the same Homsar shirt, I saw him wear it on an interview :3
That's pretty much how I came to NG only with me it was 6th Grade. I was also a big fan of the site until I guess I aged and/or NG got in the way of my frequent visits. I still occasionally visit the site for a laugh or two. I think it's a good intro to the world of Flash cartoons. Yay!

Ah, Homestar Runner. My then 17-year-old cousin made me watch some of those flashes when I was over at his house a few summers ago. I wasn't exactly a big fan of it but the series was alright. Hell, my cousin liked it so much that he designed levels on 'Age of Empires II' based on the HomeStar Runner world.

I tried to watch "Bug in mouth disease" just now, and that was the first one I watched. I couldn't help but imagining what it was like when I didn't know who these dudes were.
