You probably dont even know what youre talking about. Besides, we go into a resesion every now and then, and its not really something that can be stopped; the extent can be stopped. Monetary policy helps us stay in line, thats why rates have been cut so low.
What do you think about foreign trade policy?
What are your views about the bond rates lately?

Exactly, and Cliton didn't have a nation wide panic over sept. 11. Though Clinton did increase milatary spending and bombed Iraq also, the media and such were more interested in who Pres. Clinton was sleeping with.

All Bush can really do is propose a budget each year, and hope the Congress agrees with him. Bush didn't cause the downfall in the economy. Bush may be dumb, but he's not dumb enough to cause something which has a direct effect on his popularity.

The debate is not really between people who wish to cut taxes and those who wish to cut the debt. The option is really cutting taxes versus increasing spending. Tax cuts, however, are part of a free-market economic policy that affords many people the opportunity to better themselves and even become rich. This is why the president should ignore the bad advice he has been getting and press ahead with a truly fiscally responsible policy.

More deficit spending may give a sluggish economy a near-term jolt. But by cutting taxes and boosting spending on top of already hefty deficits, Bush and Congress are playing a dangerous game. By spending and tax-cutting madly now, Congress and the Bush Administration are almost guaranteeing the need for draconian remedies down the road, in the form of huge tax increases or sharp cuts in government services.

Yeah, and I would say that's had a very nice impact on people's spending habits...but really, two years later...I just think you can't blame 9/11 anymore...it was a horrible thing but, I think it's been blown out of proportion really, and 9/11 has been used to blame the countries ills and sell lots and lots of products.

I agree with what Nirv is saying, we need to have the government spending more time doing things to boost our spending, and our income, and not their own spending or income...I mean, if a big company takes a hit financially, and isn't doing so well, the common sense thing to do is that the executives don't take any bonuses, or give themselves any raises until business gets better.

Oh, can it. President Bush is no more responsible for the hellhole of an economy than he is for the welt on my dog's stomach.

Are you like that Stripped Kellog's Tiger? Clinton is Gggreat!! And besides, the prez, is normally not the reason for the econonomy, sometimes it is, mainly it is not. Soo why don't you put the cereal box down and look at a newspaper instead. Maybe it will show some light on the subject.

ahh. your grasp of basic economics is mind boggling. lesson one: for every up there is a down. frankly i am surprised the recession isn't as bad as it should have been considering the huge stock market surge from the dot com craze leaving the market hollow and over inflated. not to mention the day-trading that came into effect due to the dot coms. so if anything Bush's fiscal policy is excellent.

I wouldn't go as far as to say excellent, but the man is doing what he can from where he is. As much as I like to blame on him, I honestly can't just say the economy is the fault of the president. He controls so little of the actual economic situation that it's upsetting me to see people even more left-wing than me just blaming it all on him.
