So I was at the mall today and local HMV was having some promotion where they were giving out like those Scratch N' Win cards with every cd so after I bought Velvet Revolver's new CD (It be aight) I got my card, scratched it and I won a free cd!
They told me to pick any cd under $25 I want. So after looking around I saw JT's new cd and having heard some of the sick tunes he had on there I decided to get it. I have to say... Wow. Almost every song on there is fucking sick. Honestly the best pop album I've heard since MJ's Dangerous.
Obviously when you listen to the disc you gotta go into it with the right mentality. This is not an album you get drunk and headbang to with your buddies. This, you'd play at a party and start grindin' up on some chick. And for that this is actually wow good.
Definetly recommend it to anyone who's not a close minded metalhead faggot who needs to get a haircut.
Now I'm also goin' to pick up timbalands new CD seeing how he produces almost everything on JT's album

I do admit I liked Sexy Back. Only because he's more, talking in it than singing.
But his singing voice still sounds all kinds of fail

I dunno I think his voice is perfect for his songs. But after checking out some of his stuff without timbaland producing... It's pretty bad.

Yeh, welcome to the times xD
JTs newest album Future Sex Love Sounds is great. I especially love My Love, the instrumental part at the end of Love stoned, What goes around, sexy back. All great tunes.
Also, timbaland is a good producer in my opinion. I absolutely dig the song The Way I Are. Awesome tune.

Didn't he have the song with that orchestra and all those indian instruments playing this beatiful backing and then he came in and crooned "Hey giiiiirl" to open it?
I want to kill him, what a waste of an orchestra's time.

Your taste in music amuses me.
I'm not saying that JT's music is bad, some songs can be quite nice for party's, but nowhere else. Also, any moron with a synthesizer could make that crap.

Then why doesn't said moron make such music and make millions?

Just because something might be simple doesn't mean its easy to construct it. It may be easy enough to copy it, but to originally make it isn't as easy as anyone thinks.

You actually believe the songs TJ makes are original? Now that's a good one. Trust me, all of his work is copied off of something else, why? It's called inspiration. There are hardly (I added this word, because I can't look into the future) any artistic ways not yet found. Therefore none of his music is original. In fact, this "Timbaland" who produced the album is known for litterally stealing melody's out of different songs. Without altering them.
What I meant is, anybody COULD make this music. Even in what you would call "the original form", not copied. However since this music genre is already around it would still be copied in a way. However I doubt you were thnking this far ahead so I'll grant you the fact that a new song, written by oneself is what you would call original. Even so, any moron could make this. Why? It is in fact, looking at this musically, one of the easiest music genres to compose. It is a beat going over and over with a melody which keeps repeating.
Now why does TJ succeed where others fail? Hell, if I knew I would be bloody rich now, wouldn't I? All I know, is that the music he creates is not to be called music. He does not create music for the music, he creates it to make a quick buck out of it.

Do it.
I'll be fucking impressed. You think cause it doesn't have a guitar solo in it that it's easy to write?
I play guitar. I make it my bitch. I've tried making hip hop/poppish beats in Fruity Loops, definetly not easy.
I'm not saying one is easier then the other just don't be so naive and think that "anyone could do it."
And nice to listen to at a party is what I'm saying! Read the original post! I said thats the mindset you have to get into when you listen to it. I mean look at my favorite bands list, all be it it's pretty old it gives you a good sense what I used to be heavily into. My tastes have diversed alot since then and now I'm pretty much into anything with a good groove and a sweet melody. Whether it be Guns N' Roses and Metallica, Benny Benassi and ATB or Justin Timberlake and Kanye West.
It's all good.

Of course it is not all easy. But it is by far one of the easiest kinds to write, in my honest opinion. Because this is, in fact, a matter of opinion. Now, writing a hiphop beat is like writing a riff. You get to play it all throughout the song. However, in most rock songs you will find a lot more different riffs than you will find hiphop beats in a hiphop song. Hereby I can safely make a simple conclusion, that hiphop songs take less time.
Also, read my last post, which I most likely wrote while you were writing this one.

I realise you said that in the post, however not everything in my post was meant to disagree with you. I was agreeing to you on the point it was fun to listen to on a party, however I added something to the end.

Massive faggotry overload right there.
If there's any justice in this world, some brave soul is going to kidnap Justin Timberlake, pistol whip the fucker for an hour and then empty a clip in his rectum. Massive internal damage and bleeding dry through your ass is the only punishment severe enough FOR THE THINGS HE HAS DONE.

Oh yeh I forgot about Timbalands minimilastic sampling. But the fact still remains any fool could not make that 'crap'. Even as you say you don't know the secret to his success. Even if we are talking about sampling, people don't have some kind of natural ability to sit down at a mixing desk and choose the right tracks to sample to create a new song that so many people enjoy.
Also about that inspiration bit, you could say that for pretty much all genres.

So the songs are minimalistic? Adds to the beauty of them. It sounds good. Something doesn't have to be complex to be great. I dont like how if it's simple you deem it unworthy.
