I'm working on a character for my comic and I just can't seem to get the look I want. On the left is the old version, on the right is the new one. Could you guys tell me which one you like more and some ways to improve it?

Make it stand out more, stop using gradient, add details (glasses aren't pasted on one's face), smooth it out a little, etc...

Make sure you can recognise a character by its shadow.
