you can beat most of the game on hard with not too much of a problem with the wrench if you get all the upgrades.

The ending was really disapointing.
I killed Cohen by accident and i wouldn't let me into his appartment.
Oh well...now onto hard.
LOL LMAO ROFL THATS just funny
I killed Cohen too. Just to see what was in the glass case with the chain on it. I regretted it though. The stuff in the case was really lame.

I basicly only used the wrench when i did the game on easy and medium. I even managed to kill an elite Rosie useing only a wrench. Just get Wrench Jocky 2, Wrench Lurker 2 and Frozen Field 2 this makes you a close combat monster!

I just use the other guns. Mostly the shotgun and the crossbow.

The only other weapon i use other than the wrench is the fully upgraded shotgun.
Say good bye Big Daddies.

Shotgun + Electric Shot = Dead Big Daddy

But did you know that if you take a picture of his lifeless corpse you get an achievement aptly named "Irony"?

Yeah, I read that after I beat the game.
Le sigh.

I heard from a friend that was so hyped up about it.
The game is not overrated. It's just that damn good. I mean, it's one of the best shooters I've ever played for the Xbox 360 and it was a lot of fun killing your enemies in different ways. :D

So much bias goes into game reviews that I wonder why people bother reading them. But, in the case of your friend, he may have read something about the game that sounded awesome, but wasn't actually gonna be in the game. It all depends on what you hear.
my mom says if I don't buy it she'll ground me...my mom is a real-hard core gamer. but we have different tastes, she hates games like oblivion while I love them.

I second that. There are so many damn ways to kill your ememies. Most shooters, you usually have two options - blow them to hell, or just pop one in their head. In Bioshock, you can give em a nice little electric shock (best when in water), beat them to death, poison them, shoot 'em up, blow 'em up... and much more. My favorite is throwing stuff at 'em.
this game is so long...
Also, does anyone know how to get that one audio diary from under the stairs in the Heapetieus (or however you spell it)? It's like impossible to get - I can't find an entrance.

There is a crawlspace door on the wall at the bottom of the stairs to the right, it's just hard to see.
Beat it on normal last night, now have 48 out of 50 achievements with 910 out of 1000 gamerscore.
Finally gotten the game! Just played the first few levels on normal, and while i gotten killed a couple of times, it didn't took me long to figure out the plasmids.
:if your wondering, it's the PC Version, I'm running it on high settings and no lag as of yet.

Damn, I wish I had that game so I could get the easy achievements and enjoy the thrill of a better First Person Shooter. I haven't played a first person shooter that good since Halo 2. :/
I've played the demo of Bioshock...
The ending is so touching, I actually shed a tear. Not too many games do that.
Now I can't believe how easy this game is on easy. I haven't died once yet, and I'm in Neptune's bounty. Seems like Atlas will be a piece of cake on this.
he was an ass to beat on hard.

I guess it is but it still seems to be a major let down in my eyes.

I didn't die once when i did it on easy.

He is rediculously easy on easy, it took me about a minute to kill him on easy even when i saved all the little sisters.

I barely even used many plasmids against the last boss. I just started off with homing rockets, then proximity mines, then grenades, then explosive buck, then napalm/ice/electric gas, depending on what type he was. I didn't even use anything else, I think.
Oh, and a bit of incinerate 3, and wrench.
The wrench is perhaps the greatest melee weapon i've ever seen in a game.

The wrench is perhaps the ONLY melee weapon in the game

He said "a game" dumbass, meaning every game ever, not just Bioshock. I think he was aware that it is the only melee weapon in the game, seeing as how everyone here is a Bioshock fanatic.
Dont be such a douchebag.
I wanna join. I'm near the end I just got past the part where ((SPOILERS!SPOILERS!)) it tells you Atlas is really the Fontaine guy, and where you get the thing to release your brain from mind control in his pent house.
That part of the game was fun for me because of the shock wires in the penthouse. I went in there to get the antidote and I had a couple of flying robots with me from the last time I hacked a security camera. Anyways, they flew in after me and one ran right into the shock wires and blew up.
This happened right after my roommate and I tried to figure out if the shock wires hurt those guys. And behold, they did.
Im in.
Also, did anyone one else get the awesome Bioshock faceplate with there purchase?
Favorite Plasmid has to be WionterBlast 3 all the way!
Insect swarm is nice to tho
"Given BioShock's enormous initial success, Take-Two will clearly release it on other platforms and create sequels if the market makes sense and if quality would not be compromised. Regardless, we expect a sequel to be released toward the end of fiscal 2009 at the earliest."

That is great news.
But i can't seem to think about what will happen in Bioshock 2.
I mean your guy left Rapture so how will he remember to get there again and if you got the good ending your guy died!
This doesn't mean im not waiting for it.
