Staying Up 48 Hours=Hallucinati ons

Idk if this is true but my friend tried this AND read it somewhere that if you stay up for a full 48 hours or more you start to hallucinate, like getting high from not sleeping really, lol, and my friend tried it and said he kept saying red dots all over the walls in his room and lots of other trippy shit to happen to him also.

Getting high from marijuana and sleep deprivation are different things.
Marijuana is relaxing on the body and mind, were as from sleep deprivation it is exhausting and fastidious on both body and mind.

Thats called "Slap Happy" its like being high...I mean you laugh alot...trust me I know, I get slap happy ALL the time, lol, and I love it.

You can and will hallucinate from lack of sleep. But it's not like getting high, it's not a pleasant thing.

See, we need sleep. We need to dream otherwise we go crazy and we stop functioning properly. What your brain is doing when you hallucinate from lack of sleep is releasing chemicals that cause you to go into sleeping mode, but just the early stages of it. It's TRYING to activate your sleep processes, your brain is trying to get you to sleep, but since you're still purposely awake, it's only slightly effective.

In this small area between consciousness and sleep, weird shit happens, i.e. hallucinations.

Lemme tell you one of my insomnia adventures my son!
True story, sware it.

I came home fr ma field trip, was a Thrusday, next day was a pretty easy day, nothing to study.
And I was home alone. And when I'm alone I dont' sleep. I hate sleep. Waste of time.

I just wanted to learn Master of pupepts it was banging in me head all day long. I came home, imediatly picked up the guitar and started to learn. 8 hours later it's 2 AM (or something). Since I don't drink coffee I decided to keep myself awake with porn. Found this english thing, really good one too. Anway as I'm playing standing up and rocking out, I forgot I had a massive hard on and a turn on, so I was unknowingly mastrubating O_0

I was on the verge of coming ,wich was bad, sicne it was ramadan and I've decided to abstain sex for 40 days. I stood, still, for 20 min, in order not to come. With success!

Anyway it was then 6AM, I ate something and went to school.
At this point I have not slept ofr 30 hours. On the bus I decided not to sit down in case I would give in to sleep temptaion. Big mistake. While I am standing I almost fall asleep. A actually nearly feel down 3 times. It must have been hillarious to look at XD
My eyes were all fucked up like and that's when I began to halucinate.

First off I started talking to some choolmates at the bus, I told him to shut up, because he was tellign the same story he told yesterday, and realsied they're not really there. It was even furthermore confusing as the bus had to change it route due to a parade and beign half asleep I did not knwo where the fuck I was. Okay eventually I do sit down and decide to snooze till school. I do it all the time, I wake up every station when the bus brakes.

But not this time.

I feel asleep all teh way to the last stop. Wich was bad as it was in chav country. Those of you who know what chavs are know I was fucked as a horde of chavs was boarding teh bus. I went off. It wasn't so bad, I still wasn't late for school and it was only one stop away. Problem is. The place I was at was this symetrical neighbourhood and it was foggy. I had to guess wich way was the right one to school, left or right. I went right. Good choice.

So in school during math one of the most disturbing sleeping seasures occur. I write stuff down, next thing I know I'm waking up. It's incredible. I say to myself OKAY ENOUGH I'M NOT FALLING ASLEEP AGAIN! 5 sec later I found myself waking up, I just could not stay awake, it was a nightmare I tell you!

Okay but the weirdest thing was yet to come. During physics I fall asleep. And have wet dreams due to my unejaculation the night before. During class. Bloody hell.

The two more accoutns of halucinatiosn I had:
One was from insomnia during holiday. I layed in bed for 6 hours trying to sleep. I finally did. When I woke up my left arm was rotten. All grey and dried up with spots!!! Oh wait, halucinating.

Second time around I was chatting over the msn while I look down at my heyboard and notice the lower part of my left thumb is TRODDING OFF! Oh wait, just halucinating.

Anyway it only last a few seconds then you snap out.

Lol i tried for 24h up in algonquin and i play mortal kombat for wii and i started seeing ranome seht flying like flys about 12 noon i triped on a rock and fell asleep on a island on the lake and my buds diched me

One time at my friends house I drank too much Coke, and got so much caffeine in my system that I couldn't sleep for the next few days. It really sucked. There were all these weird splotches on everything, and I kept seeing things that weren't there.
