How long did you play the game straight? And did you just stick to what you were supposed to do or did you go off track a little?
I mean, if you played the game for like 12 hours straight and never did anything but storyline stuff, then off course you didn't think much of it.
10 hours straight. Saving little sisters, picking up most audio diaries, exploring every room I found, hacking everything in sight, fully researching enemies, creating 'home alone' traps to kill big daddies, fully upgrading weapons, dicking around with the telekenisis tennis ball area for like half an hour pegging a splicer in the face.
There really isn't much to do outside of "storyline stuff." My entire map was lit up (marked as "explored") by the end of my run. If they added more areas that weren't essential to continuation and rewarded the player for exploration I could've seen what you meant, but it's almost entirely linear. They should have also let the player try and create something entirely original at U-Invent stations rather than giving strict 'recipes.' Offering more than two possible weapon modifications on every weapon would have also helped, the game is far from a sandbox, not comparable to something such as Oblivion. I expect bigger and better things from Fallout, but that's loosely related and still a while away.
