Which attributes should the perfect president have in your opinion?
I think, very important things would be:
honesty
faith to his country
open-minded
critical
democratic(not like Bush's dictatoric ways...)
can anyone add something?

True, and he/she must also be wise, not too young I think, so he/she should have a bit more "experience" with life

The idea of a perfect president is something that I don't see happening. even if such a person is found, it is impossible to keep everybody happy. I mean, while he/she might do a great job in certain areas, there are bound to be people who are affected negatively by whatever changes are made, if poor people are benefited, rich people will complain because they are going to lose something, if the opposite happens, we would see what happens in most countries, rich people getting richer and poor people starving.
so there isn't really a "perfect president", only better ones.

That's what I meant with this topic. Yeah, perfect is the wrong word, better=the best possible president :)

your makin alot of sense, but im too lazy to go into the details of my society

oh wowie, a topic just for me, and you guys speak so highly of me too *tear*
ok, we need a person who is not only good with foriegn relations, but also a guy/gal, who knows what to do and when to do it, confusing? let me explain
you see, Bush has made many disictions in the last 3 years, we mostly hear about his on using force, i do not belive he is using the armed forces the way they are intended, right now i hear the whitehouse is leaning twards sending troops to Liberia, not a smart move, the international communitiy is already weary of our two wars in the last two years, hey why not three? i dont like that mentality in a president
we need somebody who can solve things diplomatically, like Clinton, just without the fucking interns on his spare time, but there are aspects of Bush that are good, such as his use of forces, though i donnot agree on his timing or where he put them, he seems to make sure our militarry is running smoothly, i guess what i'm saying is we need a non deomocrat, non republican president, maybe a moderate, though usually they tend to lean twards one side

Like Clinton? Like suddenly deciding to shoot missiles into the desert and bomb pharmaceutical factories without even consulting Congress?
Clinton who put us in Bosnia? Clinton who turned down Sudan's offer of a captured Bin Laden when asked? Clinton who put us in Somalia?
You'd have your perfect president if you stopped voting democrat or republican, in the end they all act the same.

I see that you're willing to believe this writer, but not Michael Moore, perhaps it is because Mansoor Ijaz told you what you wanted to hear?

Intelligent.
Has integrity.
Analytical.
Brave.
Is working toward the good of mankind.
Has problem solving abilities.
Last and least . . . diplomatic. <---Not that important to me as long as he gets the job done.
It'd be nice to have a president that isn't a spoiled little rich kid. Dream on crossbreed, dream on.

Why is it that to be eligible for american presidency you have to be born of a multi-millionare
Is it because the rich know what the masses really want??? Yeah...right

True, that sounds good. Would be cool to have some guy like this.
The president of my country is a lazy assed old guy, who let all the work to the others....and he's going to die soon I think, heart-attack and such things
We need a new one, and a GOOD one

One that knows history so he doesnt further complicate situations
Inteligence would be nice
Young people have the most ambitions, and if the presidents ambition was to perfect the system and give further power to the Senate and Congress, then that would be great. This or replace the president with a group of 3-4 democratically elected people so that one president's greed (oil anyone?) doesnt get in the way. An older person would say that the system works, and wont do much about it.

I agree with that
I think a young, and modern president would be great. He would also be more popular for the kids

sweet, another person who thinks the same way i do, i have no idea of what i was thinking when i said clinton, just trying to think of somebody who had some good diplomatic ties with other countries, instead of having a couple wars in a short ammount of time and disregarding the UN
the weird thing is, i lean twards the right, grew up in a very republican family
but i do have to admit, Bush is going at things way to fast, way to unthought, and its all in a short ammount of time
ok, i'll fix my statement:
we need a president who can sovle things diplomatically, but can also justly police the world, concidering we are the ONLY super power
we need a president who is honest, but who wont just unclassify things that are needed to be classified
a person who can fix our government's problems, be it public relations, or even how much the elected members are paid, and internal problems that may be present now
i have more, but i may start ranting, and we dont need any of that

Read Plato's Republic. The president needs to learn how to be objective as well.
