Warcraft III, Raciest?

I have recently looked over and over Warcraft 3 and found no other "Lordarean" races besides white. If they are implying that there are "Nerds" (night elf/Asians, "Big Green Barbarians" (African Americans/Orcs) or the "Rotting technalogically lost, smelly flesh" as the middle easterners. And here we have the good Humans all clean, smart, loyal (and white) And if you look at Starcraft they have Racial differences in there Humans suc as a RUssian Commander. African Ghosts, and such.

Isn't Warcraft based in Europe? Or at least its fictional equivalent? That would explain why all the people are white.

if you've played Warcraft III, you would know that Humans have turned mostly evil, which is leading to their downfall, and one Human has become an undead monster who destoryed his own kingdom(Lordoran)

The Orcs have become Noble and Shamantic, and are the most likely 'good guys' in the game, doing what is right. They also explain that the Orcs were under a spell, and it was not their fault that they were barbarians.

The Night Elves are most definately Asain- but they do not use cliques that could be offensive. They use their culture to make a very powerful race- in fact, according to the history of Warcrat, The Night Elves were the most powerful, destorying the Demons.

As for the Undead- i have no idea how you can see people rising from the dead and allying themselves with Demons as the Middle East. Mind explaining that a bit?

Maybe, Warcraft III has 4 continents Azeroth, Kalimdor, Lorderon, and Northrend. None of them are in Europe.

if you want a racist gamne, look at C&C:Generals. Now i'm not a genius, but the guys in the turbans from the middle east might be considered Musliums, and as of such, Westwood is implying that they are all terrorists.

The most likely reason for no blacks in Warcraft III, though, is probly just history. At that time there were no colonies in Africa, and thus no blacks. And i doubt Blacks would be soldiers or otherwise considering that they would be brought over as slaves.

Next thing you know the Dwarves will represent Russians and the Elves will represent the Japanese......

but the humans are based on the Eurpoean Culture. The Night Elves are based on the Asain Culture. The Orcs are most likely based on the Norse Culture, and the Undead have abslutely no culture- its mjust based on legend.

Gladly, When the Human Prince Arthas turned Evil he is on the side of 'bad guys'. The Undead are not a direct threat to the 'new kingdom'. The middle east and the undead are hated by all the other races. (maybe not directly) but they are hated.
The orcs where casted with a pact of blood made by Manoroth, but the orcs killed him. Being Barbaric and killing there master such as the "slaves" rose against there white masters. (Humans) and in the secend warcraft the humans had captured all the orcs and made themn prisoner. (Such as the Warcheif thrall) representing that humans were/are supier to the orcs. And for Arthas, he turned 'evil' not becouse of him but becouse of his passion for 'saving' his kingdom. A noble trait but becouse fo Frostmourne he was possed by a force of the lich king no longer any part of Arthas.

The only place in Starcraft in which you'll see terms such as "Russian commander" or such nationalities is in a UMS game (Use Map Settings) which means it has been edited by the user- not only the map, but settings and unit characteristics.

In warcraft three, each of the races is portrayed as the good race when you are playing their campaign, and others are portrayed in different lights.
And it should be perfectly obvious that they would need to base it on elements of the real world- that's all there is to base it on.

It's true that Command and Conquer is a lot more racist: Just look at the special weapons for each country in Red Alert II: Lybia has the demo truck (terrorists), Cuba has the terrorists, Iraq has the desolator (Radioactive weapon). All of the soviet countries, exept Russia, are small and weak countries. China is communist, shouldnt it be in the Soviet Union in that game ? I mean, Mao was allied to Stalin and the game is based on Stalin's views.

If you look at the allies, all their weapons are clean, while the western part of the world is by far the one who pollutes the most. Games should be objective, unfortunnatly, they're mostly very subjective. Some Japanese game tend to show both side of the medal, like in Suikoden III. I like it when the "bad guy" isnt really evil, but that he really think what he's doing is for the good of all humanity.

Seriously, this is the dumbest topic I've seen in a while. Fantasy games usually show humans as all white because they are based on European mythology. In European mythology, there are no other races. As for comparing the undead to Arabs...are you kidding!?! Now THAT is racist. The undead are just the undead. There's no symbolism there.

If all of you weren't so preoccupied with race, you wouldn't even notice this stuff like most normal people.

It isn't racist because depneding on what race you choose, you can go around and destroy any other race, making this game non racist because a certain race isn't aimed; you can play all of em!
