Resistance sounds pretty cool.
Undisclosed Desires is a lil' too 80s for me.
Guiding Light is just too far on the edge of cheese-rock for me.
Unnatural Selection sounds pretty hench.
MK Ultra sounds pretty hench too, quite indie-ey though :o.
I belong to you sounds awesome, although not in any way Muse-ey.
Exogenesis sounds AMAZING.

That's my take. Certainly not what I expected after BH&R but Muse can do what they want with their lives, who am I to tell them what genre they should be?

I'd have to say it's a surprise, but a pleasant one for me at least

I loved the riff on Guiding Light,
I really liked Resistance
I still love Uprising and United States
I wasn't so sure about Undisclosed Desires, but then again if they don't experiment, they'd be like most other bands so I'm glad they are.

Overall, I think the rhythms and beats that they developed from BH&R have been tweaked with and brought to The Resistance. I cannot wait for this album!

I just wish now I would've got tickets for the Liverpool Echo Arena show...

Undisclosed Desires sounds interesting, I need to hear more.
Guiding Light and Unnatural Selection seem ok.
MK Ultra sounds cool.
I'm not sure about I Belong To You yet.
Exogenesis sounds like it's gonna be an Absolution/Oos flashback, which I love.

Ha oh wow do you think Muse were aware the intros to the songs were going to be available like that? It kind of takes a bit out of listening to the whole album. 26 days now.

I listened to all the previews, except for Exogenesis. I'm going to wait until the record comes out. I don't want to judge the songs based off the previews though.

THis is the only time ive been annoyed at not having itunes.

Gotta say, a lot of my fears for the album have been relieved with these previews. While a lot of the album does sound different to previous albums, I think they're pulling it off. I definately think the album gets better as it goes on though, Resistance and Undisclosed Desires haven't won me over just yet, but Guiding Light, Unnatural Selection and MK Ultra sound fucking ace. I Belong To You sounds quite good, and I'm sure the most awesome bits of the Exogenesis trilogy have been excluded from the previews to entice us further.
Overall though, I'm quite happy with the way things are going, even if this is a whole new direction for Muse.
