They could export cornish pasties.
But seriously i guess spliting the U.K up might work as long as we're still watching each others backs when it comes to war and you can find something to base an economy on.

I'm not directly connected to this, but to say it. I'm from Sweden. It makes a total diference in things. Sweden is also Constitutional Monarchy, but I feel quite sad for the Scots. Indepentent Scotland would be benefitial for the people (including you) , as it would probably claiming Norweigian and Icelandic sea territory, and if things went peacefully, reaping the oil rewards. And canceling the tax (if the is one, I'm not an expert) to the Royal House. That would mostly be a good thing for the Scots, I think.

Sheep stomach stuffed with onions, oatmeal and other assorted vegetables that boiled in the stomach.
It can be served straight out of boil, diced, minced, chopped, mashed or in any form or variety.

That was nasty, one reason I'd never support the formation of a country based on religion. But who got them into that mess in the first place....? oh yes, the British.

First of, the formation of the British Empire is something i feel ashamed of, not proud. Second, we also fought alongside the French, Americans, Canadians, ect in WW2, should we all just join up into one big conglomerate nation because we share a history? Thirdly, since when was the Falklands a great military accomplishment? The best trained army in the world bet a third world country and won back a wee set of islands. not exactly Waterloo.
When people ask what nationality I am I say British, not English. No matter what way you look at it, it IS better for scotland to be part of Britain rather than independant, its just..obvious. Scotland becoming independant would be a step backwards.
It obvious is it? well maybe you'd like to provide some proof of that. i mean if it's so obvious there must be something supporting you opinions.

That's alright, we wouldn't have to put up with you guys assuming that the UK = England and mentioning 1967 every two minutes.

Actually, most of the time these days it's not made inside an actual stomach.

Damm straight, When England were in the World cup it was " We did it in 1967 and we can do it now" *repeat 1967 clips. Strangely enough on a program called "Useless celebrities" Someone listed Andy Murray as talentless followed by an Englishman saying "All Scots are annoying really".
The media doesn't really appreciate Scotland enough, It would be a smarter move for a semi independance. Seperate countries but Still managing similarly, E.g Military aid if one country in the Union is under attack etc.
But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.

I love how in the excerpt I read he referred to England and only England. as though Scotland and Wales didn't benefit from it at all.
I also like how he seems to think what's written in that book will be shockingly new! Since when was documented history new? Their are very few people who are actually proud of what the British empire did, and most of them are supporters of the BNP.

I think the scottish should have the same right just as any one of us here in the US or over in the UK. What are they afraid of by letting the Scottish have a little bit more of the pie?! I am not Scot or Irish boy or anything, but I think that enough in political parties of Scotland get together and voice their concerns, eventually they will receive independence. I think that they have shown their independence through their economics and what role they play in the "war against terror" even though you don't hear well enough about them to notice 'em.
