There's been a lot of debate over the candidates in this corner of NG. This topic is for simply discussing who you would like to win the Democratic primaries. Republicans, don't make posts that say something to the tune of "Teh Demz R Satan" . Seriously, who would you like to win?
Personally, I have to say I would like Kucinich ( too lazy to look up his name). His Ideas about healthcare are spot on, and the fact that he filed Impeachment papers for Darth Cheney is enough qualification for me. Next to that, Edwards.

I would rather see hillary win than Obama. Obama does not have the political experience we need... of course, Hillary isn't too much better, but she already had 2 terms in office, so i figure she's the better candidate.
I'm not crazy, everyone else is.

Bill Richardson. Obama is too overconfident of his 2 years of experience, and Hillary is a ho.

My favorite democrat, Zell Miller, but since he doesn't abhere to ideas of quasi-socialism he'll never get any nomination.

I actually like Barrack Obama. Even though I'm not going to vote for him I just think if we do get a Democrat for president, it would be refreshing to have someone who doesn't have such a fucking dynasty.
Also, I think that having a minority as president will be interesting too. I'd like to see how it entirely demonstrates the racial double standard we have in this country. I'd look forward to Al Sharpton calling people racists for simply criticizing Barrack Obama in any way. I'd look forward to the circus that will take place when ANY white figure (politicians, comedians etc..) make any joke or jab about him.
Democrats will have a fucking heyday, being able to call ANY person who disagrees with them and their president a racist.
Yay, Obama won. Let's thank his supporters:
-The compliant mainstream media for their pro-Obama propaganda.
-Black Panthers for their intimidation of voters.

I'd have Obama over Clinton. But I'd rather see McCain in over anyone else. Not because I am Republican, but because hes the only one with enough experience and enough guts to stand up for what he believes in.

He doesn't have this shrouded past and is a likable person.

Hilary Clinton, hands down. If we're going to pick from a list of complete losers who only have an inch of a chance do to either their race or who they agreed to marry, we might as well pick the loser that has the greatest chance of getting crushed by McCain in an election.
Hahahahahaha, LiveCorpse is dead. Good Riddance.

Hilary did not have two terms of office.
Her husband did!
It's like saying Laura Bush is president now...
However... Hilary has had a lot of political experiance during her husband's presidency... far more active to Laura Bush's history. She's done a lot of stuff politically, sort of like how Ellinor Roosevelt worked politically during her husband's presidency.
The only times I've seen Laura Bush do anything is she has to be there standing next to her husband for a major event... like Katrina, and the recent Minnesota bridge collapse (although, she came solo to that one.) Not unlike Hiliary... not at all.

Mike Gravel.
Unlike some other people, some present company included, I choose my candidates on the basis of his stance on the issues, not his charisma or whatever other watered down reason.
I agree with him on his stances on
Iraq: Both Gravel and I want to see the war ended and our troops home.
Iran: Both Gravel and I want to see diplomacy used to its ends before force is ever considered.
FairTax: I'm an ardent supporter of the FairTax, as is Sen. Gravel.
Prison and drug law reforms:
Our prisons and drug laws need to be changed. There is no valid reason why we should have prison overcrowding caused by locking people up for smoking marijuana. It's nonsense. Gravel thinks the same way.
Net neutrality. Gravel understands the need and necessity for net neutrality, and supports it, unlike some colleague of his from the same state...
Immigration: Pro protecting the borders, anti NAFTA. In lock step with him on this one.
Abortion: I'm a pro-choice pro-lifer. I morally disagree with an abortion, but it isn't the states' nor the federal government's job to legislate morality over abortions. While we may have different reasons why, both Gravel and I are against any sort of illegalization of standard abortions.
Gun rights: His stance makes perfect sense to me. A nice compromise between the NRA crowd and the anti-gun crowd, I think.
Pretty much the only issue I take exception too is his idea for Universal Healthcare Vouchers. While I still think that healthcare can be handled better at a private or state level, the voucher system is a better form of universal health care, as it promotes competition in the medical system.

Another great thing about hillary is that she's Consistent on the issues, and has definiate opinions, and most of the american voters know that this indeed true

From the way you describe him, he'd be the guy I vote for issues-wise... but alas, I don't think he'll make it past the primary. As someone so dutifully pointed out a few moments ago, Obama has a lot of charisma despite his lack of experience, and that's probably what will win him the nomination.
It's a shame that this will probably boil down to a popularity conest more than anything.

NEVER!

2. Yes they freaking would, too many people are hypocrites in this world, some of them are Democrats. And NO, I'm not saying all Democrats are hypocrites.

I must be pretty good. This is probably the most mature discussion I've seen on this site. Ron Paul now gets moved up to 2nd place for me.

Not a registered democrat. In fact, I'm not registered as anything now that I think about it...
I think that if the Democrats are smart, they'll avoid Hillary. She may be popular among Democrats, but the Dems need as many crossover votes as they can get this election.
I wish I could find the little news article I read a while back that talked about Hillary's popularity when placed against other democratic candidates...
But it basically boiled down to this; placed against say, Obama, in a "Who would you rather vote for?" type of poll, Hillary lost hands down. Each time Hillary was placed up against ANY democratic presidential candidate, she lost. So maybe this problem will take care of itself.
Until then, I am burning incense, making voodoo dolls, and sacrificing chickens to make sure Hillary doesn't win.
What political contest isn't these days?
Well, the least we could do is stop acting like it isn't what it really is. I mean, so long as it's a popularity Conest, I'm sure Ryan Seacrest and the other judges at American Idol could do SOMETHING to make more than 40% of the voting population participate in the election...

His smile looks fake as hell, but he's the only Democratic candidate with a thought out , real plan for Iraq.
