the shine were added in photoshop sorry I just couldnt do it in painter damnit!

Ooh, didn't see this one. If you finish it, then close in on it just like that, and blur everything around the head, it'll make it look huge like an autofocus camera took the pic or something.

But just don't stop working on it.

Im weak Damnit.
after hours of trying to make a picture refection, I kept deleting and retrying. until I finally gave up.

I ended up using real relections on the metal, and real tires for the grooves. even tho all the lighting and shapes are mine.

I cant help but feel dirty inside.

Paint is good and so is the overall idea (like the placement of the tires for biceps). The only thing is that his torso is too small in comparison to the rest of his body. He almost looks out of shape. I think if you really want to stick with this, you could either edit your current sketch or redraw it completely with the same basic idea. That's my 2 cents.

thanks for the tips I might mess with it,. it might be more obvious when Im done, but basicly hes built to be kinda stocky, I might widen his upper chest area.

Mindchamber, my brother just took a look at the updated version, and he went "HOLY SHIT".

He likes it, and so do I. :)

Holy crap. Incredible painting job, MindChamber.

The only thing that bothers me about it, though, is the black, highly visible outlines. I dunno if you're planning to get rid of them when you're finished, but with them present in the picture it gives everything an air of... cartoonishness.

Maybe that's what you're aiming for.

Painter is THE shit. If you just now how to use it properly.
But Photoshop is still great, always great to adjust the picture in Ps after the painter, umm. Paint.

Ahhh, gotta take meself some time to learn painter.
Looks good BrainCage :D

Select a textured paper and draw a bit more, on everything. Cause the metal ain't flat? No?

Sketchbook_NG_1.0 Also, i'm a dick sometimes, get used to it.

Don't beat yourself up fewl the picture looks good so far.

So like... are you still using painter or abandoned it for photoshop?

I know you'll probably rape me for this, but I think that the weakest part of the picture so far is the head. The body looks like a badass vehicle while the head looks like one from a Beast Wars-style wasp. I don't think it does the body justice.

Perhaps give him some pauldrons ontp of his shoulders, with tail lights or something cool attached to them.

That might level him out abit.

Really impressive. I think the shape is perfect, I would be worried if you were giving an alien robot made out of a truck the same proportions as a human.

hmm maybe I could try a shot of him looking forward.

also shrinking the head would make the body look bigger too.
