Well, as it turns out, some UKers found an old of-shore milatary fort, and just because they felt like it, and because it was in international waters, have been trying to claim it as there own state for decades.
HERE IT IS, FOLKS
Now isn't that the craziest thing you ever heard of?
There shining history includes-
The hole "Nation" once caught fire.
They have held several captives and prisoners of war after they had to launch a helicopter raid to take back the fort from thieves.
The national population is around 10...
AND MUCH MUCH MORE!
:Read the hole article, please, the hole thing seems like an old episode of Prisoner to me.

Whatever. It's a micronation (read the def. on wiki).
It has no meaning other than to the creators.

Seems like its just a squatters , home.
HE even may have a case in British court , but it would only be for the vessel. The land (seabed) it sits on is a part of the British isles.

Ahahaha, this is awesome, I'm finding myself an old island and taking it over. The name of the country shall be Tostienostan, that's the flag down below. Now give me five minutes while I write up the constitution and national anthem. I will also go and buy my country some machine gun turrets and a few flack cannons, bomb my island now! Any POW's shall have information extracted from them by having salt blown in their eyes.
muahahahahahahaha.

haha! I think Napster or some file share company wanted to buy that Island once to get away from copyright laws, didn't happen though.
I would be much more pleased with you if you'd stop poking me with that small thing of a nipple that you have just below your belt.
Thank you

hahaha, heck yeah! Of course I wouldn't mind seeing Iceland trying to take it over and failing. No hard feelings Icelandians, used the first country that popped into my head besides the UK.

I don't know. Newgrounds isn't that huge. Not like Gaia online or anything. I was surprised actually, when I saw the stats about # of users. That newgrounds is actually a lot smaller than Gaia. (I hope I can mention them on here.) (Otherwise just delete my post Mr. Moderator)

Yeah gaia's big...very big, probably because it's more focused on goofing off and more people will think you're a nerd if you come to Newgrounds than Gaia for some reason...right then anyways, back to Sealand. Micronations sound like fun, like that episode of Sealab: 2021 where they all made their own countries and the toilet had a nuke.

And for a small 20 quid, you can become a Lord, Lady, Baron or Baroness of Sealand.

Let them have it.I really think they don't need to worry about the UK coming in with soldiers and arresting them.

I don't think the UK really cares to much about what they're doing.

This whole idea about "buying sealand" has been going on for some time, but it seems like it's been dropped again. the idea was to build a community of people that could do whatever they want, and set up big servers for uploading and downloading files to sites like the pirate bay (piracy site)
the thing is, even though a lot of people put in a lot of money to reach the goal, it seemed like it was dropped
www.buysealand.com - this was the site, it's been looking like that for over a month now..
and even worse, if you read on their forums when they where still up, it seemed as if people didnt even get their money back..
So i don't know.. i kinda look at it all as one big scam...
I maek flasj adn musigk
