As for Avril, I hate her... Of course, I hated her so much, I made a little game. And lots of people got pissed, I got death threats... and some people think the game just sucks (and to my opinion, it's not very good.) That's why I'm working hard on a better game to replace that curse.

as far as i'm concerned punk rock (or rawk as she puts it) died in the early 90's.

I believe that the mentality of punk music was that it was not supposed to be accepted into the mainstream music industry. So when someone like Avril attempts to take the punk mentality and make it marketable, she clearly goes against the core element of the punk mentality that makes it punk.

Therefore, under the circumstances that you want to believe that Avril is a punk, than she is not a poser, but more so a traitor to her genre.

I like avril's songs. But I can definitely see why she is so hated. Her whole image is just stupid - she is clearly pop, just with more guitars than most recent pop stars. the one time I've seen her interviewed it was the most gut-wrenching, squirm-inducing interview I've ever seen, due mainly to her being so unintelligent and just plain ::ugh::
