How does one zoom?

I'm doing a Flash movie for my Art major work and I've noticed that theres a way of zooming and panning that makes use of a box which moves around the stage, like if the box is the size of the stage, then it gets free transformed down to the size of an object on the stage then in the swf the movie will zoom in on said object.

Up until now I've had to free transform everything on stage to a larger size to give a zooming effect which becomes quite difficult to do when there's other movement taking place and can also lag the movie a fiar bit as well.

I hope you all get what I'm on about here but please help, the due date for this movie is imminent so the person who solves my problem will be put in the credits.

YES!! That's it! awesome, thanks dude. However, when I try to use it a new problem comes to light.

The camera simply does not work >_>

I got this error message:

1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: Void.

...Any ideas?

Are you exporting in AS2? It's under publish settings under File.

XD Why didn't you ask then? =P

But yes! I've got it working. The flash file was for Flash 7, so I changed the export settings for my movie to 7 and then back to 9. It seemed to rectify itself! Brilliant!
