Console threads and console wars.

I wouldn't doubt that this has been enforced before, but I'm doing it again.

You're going to start recieving bans for starting or participating in console wars. It is slightly mind boggling that I cannot remember a single console themed thread that didn't contain some sort of pissing and moaning about how X is better than Y and etc. I see some posts that just seem like they're starting shit for the sake of starting it.

As for console threads, they will be deleted and possibly destroyed if it is a thread involving a direct comparison of two consoles. If you have an original idea, or think you can put a spin on it that wont result in mindless bitching then PM a mod about it first.

As long as we're on that topic, threads asking about what games should be bought for console X, which console to buy/sell/trade/mate with will also be removed due to being flamebait.

Console themed threads are still sketchy, but less obvious in their flame generating ability. Nevertheless, there's always someone who starts it up. Threads like this are tolerable, because the topic is focussed on ONE aspect of ONE console. Within, however, you'll find the idiotic flaming begin. Those are the posts that will from here on in, earn you bans.

So in short, do not make console vs console threads, do not make threads simply asking what games or consoles to do whatever with, and if you are posting in an existing console thread, curb your nerdy-ass urge to support your favourite console.

It's just the fact. More censorship. More nobodies telling us what we can and can't do. it's just one more way to get banned and one more way not to have fun.

It's just one more way the users get fucked and the mods steal power. It's another in a list of shit that has seriously got to stop. Newgrounds is against censorship, not for it. I just wish the mods understood that.

The mods would be better off making of list of things we can do instead of trying to list all the things we can't do. So far, the way I see it, we can do two things. Suck mod cock or get banned.

Yeah, it's a shame. But then again if we put every rule there it'd be so cluttered that no one could blame anybody for not reading it all. Well, it's sort of a universal rule that things that have official topics do not need more threads about them, unless the circumstance is somehow special. Talking about games in and of themselves is no problem, as they don't tie directly to consoles.

BUT, if Tom didn't like what we were doing, we'd hear about it. We are doing volunteer work for the guy who owns the private site, which gives us every right to tell people what to do when they're posting on the BBS. If mods really were power hungry freaks as some of the more simple minded users claim, you'd be getting commands to post pictures of yourself facedown in cereal or else get banned. (Or something unnecessary like that).
