Internet addiction

I know some kids who spend about 7 hours of their time on the internet a day,
and they don't see a problem.

So how many hours do you spend online?
and do you see it as a problem?

It's about seven hours on and off. Today it rained, so I'm inside. Tommorow, everyone is gone, so I'm inside. What better thing to do than NG.

Far too long, if I'm not online, I'm either playing computer or videogames.

But it's summer vacation and I have nothing better to do. The street I live on has almost no one my age, and my best friends all live out in the middle of nowhere.

So it's either games and internet or sitting in front of the tv rotting my brain.

I live no where near any of my friends, the nearest cinema is miles away and its always raining.

I spend about half the day on the internet. That's because I don't have a job and I'm not in school.

depends on weather, whats happening etc. but overall i would say around 4 - 5 hours average.

I work overnight, so when I'm off on the weekends, or before and after I go to work, it's too late or early to really do anything else.

At 3 am on a Saturday night there's little else besides the internet for someone who hates going to clubs. I don't drink, and I don't hang out with my friends when they do.

Friends you hang out with in real life, away from a computer, on a regular basis. Also a girlfriend would qualify as a life.

Friends you hang out with in real life, away from a computer, on a regular basis. Also a girlfriend would qualify as a life.

I would qualify for your definition of life, but im sure many people would disagree with your definition.

I'm on the computer a lot but I recently started playing CSS so I haven't been on Newgrounds much. I spend from pretty much 6:30 to 11 or 12 on weekdays. so 4 or 5 hours.

I work with computers I can spend and access of 8 hours a day working and then 4 to 5 hours a night playing.

I don't think I'm addicted to the internet, even though I'm online a good 8 hours.

But, It's normally at night, since it's summer, so I'm up all the time.

During school years, I'm on masybe 2-4 hours a day, but again, it's normally later on in the day.

Okay well, i get to work at about 9, then i stay till 6 or 7... or 8... and during that time i'm working / internetting. annnnd then i go home, and i internet until i go to bed at about 1, and then repeat that process, until it is the weekend and i finally can go out and socialize (i don't have to gas to visit my friends on week days :( )

totally. my day consists of partying until 4ish, sleeping till 3ish, then eating, detoxing, and going online until 9ish, then i "work" until 10ish, and go party again!

Pretty much all day, I got kicked out of school so i have nothing else better to do and no its nota problem because i can stop any time i want if someone called me to go out then i would....

I'm basically on the internet in my free time, which is a lot, i a friend calls me I'll go over, but most of my friends are lame asses, so that's not a lot of the time.

So a good bit. But what else I'm I supposed to do? I'd just be watching T.V. and this way, I'm actually communicating with people.
