Im just curious to hear how you lot come up with all these ideas for flash animations and games, I seem to always get stuck and can never think of anything lol :S

i just sit next to my friends with a sketchpad and make that. (mostly inside jokes, so i don't submit to the portal.)

Both my animations and interacitves (Fish and Flash calculator) Where either a dream I had or I was practiing b4 with tutorials. And I came up with an idea. Fish was incidently, supposed to be a series with voice over. But then I had that dream the same night, and flash calculator was derived from an action movie I was going to make. The keycode lock looked alot like a calculator. So I decided to make into a working flash calculator

Do all your ideas come from dreams? I usaly get ideas while playing video games.

All my ideas come from the shower. Thats why I spend an hour in there. But you should find something to suite you.

Their are 3 ways me and the guys think up flashes. 1. We all get drunk and site around a table playin' cards while throwing random ideas out there. 2. We all get stoned and site on random furniture while throwing random ideas out there. 3. I meditate on my bed for an hour brianstorming shit.

Interesting. I know that getting stoned can enhance the imagination but I really don't think being drunk will help the creative process. Of the three, though, which would you say works best and produces the best idea?

There are two ways to get ideas. You can force ideas to come to you or you can wait for the ideas to come to you.
99 out of 100 forced ideas are usually crappy but this is a much faster way then to wait for ideas. You can get good at forcing ideas out of your brain too.
I'm a more of a "waiting for the idea" guy. Because when these ideas get to me, they are always perfect.

lol Yeah... The best one is being drunk actually. When your stoned we think up short random stuff that we think is the most amazing thing ever yet turns out to be not so good. -Example When we're drunk we think of stuff that we think will do bad but is funny yet does good. -Example2 And then when I brianstorm stuff turns out decent.ExampleB
