Was jesus olive skinned?

This topic was probably posted before but oh well.

I had a heated debate with a friend yesterday about what the color of skin jesus was, he being raised
from roman catholic parents he believed in the traditional european depiction of jesus having white skin with blond hair and beard. I argued with him that the jews of that time and period were of olive skin.

Well, I don't know about skin color, but blonde hair? Germans are blondes, not jews from my experience. Anyway, not all jews back then had olive skin, see, DNA determines the skin color and DNA is sometimes a very questionable thing, so as far as I know he could've been green or purple.

Well, Jesus probably was olive skinned regardless because he would be tanned from the sun.

However, ancient Jews did have light skin genetically, and since Jesus was Jewish he wasn't black or Arab because both weren't allowed to enter the temples of the time, and were considered inferior by both the Jews and the Romans.

But, he definitely wasn't/isn't the blonde-haired, blue-eyed Anglo that Catholics believe him to be.
