First of all, most mobsters and criminals obtain gun illegaly. So they would have them anyway. Plus the police force probabally couldn't help you because of fear of getting prosecuted for profiling or without probabal cause. AND WHEN MOST FIREARM RELATED CRIMES ARE COMMITED, THERE AREN'T ANY COPS AROUND. So law abiding people wouldn't have much over Kung-Fu to defend themseves with. And as for being a vegetarian, that's just self-destructive.

Yes, killing an animal that has lived a free and whole life is WAY worse than eating one that's been incarcerated and has had a controlled usless life. Love your logic. However I will agree to hunting for sport rather than food is wasting time and effort.

I know others before me have already stated something along these lines, but it would be foolish to outlaw guns, just as it is foolish to outlaw drugs, and was foolish to outlaw alcohol. It would do nothing but create a thriving illegal trade of guns (well, thriving more than it is now, at least). You have to trust the people to do the right thing with their guns, and not commit crimes like homicide. It's tough, but we have to deal with it. The ones who do break laws with their guns of course go to prison for it, as they should.

So, animals raised in farms are less defenseless? Furthermore, meat is the best source of protein for growing children. Also, wild game is always better than fat raised game, no matter what animal. Hell, hunting's more sporting and much more rewarding than raising animals to be sent to slaughter. At least wild game always has the chance to get away. It happens all the time. Your argument holds no ground. Don't take a stance on anything until you actually understand it.
