Congrats to all the winners there was an insane amount of good work this time around I'm, feeling crushed as usual myself, I always hope to get a mention in the honorable mention section or at least some form of criticism. I have a feeling my work is too sloppy or not stylized enough but I really haven't got a clue.
I got so depressed I even tried to resort to drugs and snorted some coke, which is a F**KING BAD IDEA, I opened the can and snorted it up my nose and it stung like a bitch!. I don't know how people can snort Coke its bloody painful, I'm gonna stick to drinking it.

Hope the new contest is posted soon! my tablet is already dusty !

My tablet isn't fucking working. It just stopped midway through me drawing for this comp.

This has been my favourite art comp so far.

Wow Stamper, you're right. I just looked through the thread and all of them look well done. I especially liked lysgaard remake of the Metroid Fusion boss Nightmare. One of my favorite bosses of all time.

Oh btw I have my ideas on what I did wrong but if anyone wants to shoot me some crits feel free XD

Liffyourskinnyfist, you really impressed the hell out of me with that first Ifrit drawing :O Even though you do not completely master anatomy yet, you turned it to your advantage by making your characters all rugged and skinny and the coloring is superb :)

congratuations to the winners, although i think that some of the entries where a little bit out of what they were supposed to be, some entries including some of the winners looked a lot more like "concept art" instead of hi definition sprites. Maybe the rules should be explained a little bit better next time, anyway congratulations to all the winners.

Congratulations to all the winners. There was a lot of good art produced for this contest, so it was awesome keeping an eye on all the entries.

I wish I had some graphical skill, heh.

I'm going to have to agree with most people.. Preps to the winners.. but some of them can be considered weak compared to others. I had seen some really nice stuff and I was surprised when I didn't see pretty much any of my favorites mentioned.

But as the wise Stamper has claimed, drawing is for fun, just maybe next time I won't spend 12 hours replicating the original bitmap on paper, sketching concept art, drawing it into flash and applying highlights and shadows..

Anyways, I can't wait till the next comp.

Congrats to all the winners. There were really a ton of great ones in this contest. I don't even like video games that much but I still enjoyed looking at each and everyone of the entries.

I so wish I had SOME artistic talent so I could enter these. But I don't, and I just have to live with that :)

BTW, ImpendingRiot holds the official "screwed" award for submitting great drawings to almost every contest and never receiving a mention.

Don't worry, I read your following message too.

Your submission was good, the attention to detail was accurate, but unfortunately in translating to hi-def you missed some of the original details from the sprite you were embellishing upon. It seemed more like a traced reinterpretation (I know that sounds bad but I'm only trying to give what you did a name) than it did an all-out redefining of what was already there. Maybe your only fault was in picking a complicated sprite, because I did like the end result of your efforts. I guess what was missing outweighed what was there?

Like I'm one to talk. My submission was practically invented, but I guess the guys weren't REQUIRING entries to be 'traced' as it were. Har har.

Congrats everyone! Glad to see some unfamiliar faces winning for once :) Well, pox is familiar but still good job :D
