It's a great movie. I had to see it three times because the people I went loved Gerard Butler. I had body envy looking at guys with muscles so big that they can't wipe their behinds.
go get a bunch of guys, take off your shirts, open some beers, and put this movie in. then stand up and yell loudly at the screen and try to feel manly.
the movie just tries so hard to be epic. i probably would have been blown away if i saw it in theaters, instead of on my roommates computer.. i had let too many 300 jokes settle in before seeing the movie :P
it's one of those movies that you can just... put on at any point really, and get into it. the plot is "300 guys kick a bunch of ass...in slow motion" so, yeah ;)

I loved it in the theatre, but finally I bring it home and it doesn't really catch you like it did on the big screen. Still an alright movie, but that's for the viewer to decide.

Regardless, I actually thought Shooter was better. It didn't have a bunch of nearly-naked men with gay undertones throughout the entire film. Just goes to show you: today's generation is a bunch of fags.
Also, blood and bluesceens don't automatically make a movie good.

Well there wasn't much true about it. It was very loosely based, considering there were monsters.
I'm sorry to tell you this guys...but there weren't 1 million persians. It was closer to 300-400 thousand.
And the 300 guys were backed by about 2000 greeks
