There's nothing legit about it anywhere on the web and paramount refuses to talk about at all. Here's an article about it.

The best theory I've heard about it is that the 01-18-08 is actually a reference to the bible as it seems to be a title and definetly not a release date. I mean they've only announced the director and it'd be impossible to keep casting notes, plot and other details secret for this long if the movies was actually to come out in six months.

all i know is that people are saying that the slusho site is somehow related to it, and that site is fucking ADORABLE. Too bad the movie will prolly suck balls. Last I heard, it was a monster movie about a big squid filmed in the style of the first blair witch.

Yeah, I made a topic about this once before. To me, it's the best fucking teaser that I have ever seen. My guess is that it could be the sequel to War of the Worlds or maybe even an all new Godzilla movie. There is even a strange game about it here.

It'd be alittle cheesy and all but it's confirmed that it's going to be a monster movie and that it isn't a sequel, prequel or remake so...

I read somewhere that Abrams was approached over a year ago to do a movie based on the video game Rampage. The trailer suggests that there is more than one monster destroying the city, and there will be three teaser posters before the actual one (Monstrous is one of the teaser posters), and there were three monsters in the original game. Plus, if you read the history on the Slusho website, it sounds alot like Rampage. People drinking a soda and turning from small 'fish' into large 'whale' (human to monster)? Sounds like Rampage to me. And knowing Abrams, the movie (if it was Rampage) would be an allegory to 9/11, terrorism, etc. So yes, I do believe it is a Rampage movie.

Everybody is so geeked about this shit and it just makes me sad. because such a fucking SICK trailer is going to be wasted on a pathetic shitty blair witch monster movie. THEY WONT LEAK ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE BECAUSE THE SECOND THEY DID WE WOULD ALL DIE OF LAUGHTER.
This movie is going to be an unremarkable shitty monster movie that belongs straight to video. The only reason it has a chance to succeed is because theyre hoarding it away from the public.

No thats just a suspected codename. No official title has been revealed.
