How many times have you started on something that looked like it would be awesome, only to have it fail miserably?

Don't be modest. This topic is for humor.

Post your most embarrassing pieces of art. Art that is bad by accident. Not on purpose.

Failed art. The art of failure.

incoming "zomg you stoeld dis lol i pwn zekky" post from some smartass at any moment I wager

But yeah.

And of course to follow the rules of the art forum which most seem to ignore these days, I shall post first my own entry into the crap buffet.

Behold this hideous shit.
A man in a yellow suit, a monkey and a thing.
What are they doing? WHO KNOWS? But they sure are painful to look at.
Enjoy?

A failed sketch. I though NG would never have to see this, but now you just had to make this topic wich is totally perfect for this picture.

I hate you Zekey :D

I don't think it's all that bad. It could be better, but I can stand it. I'd love to be able to draw that well, I'm so bad.

I don't have much art I've done, since I've never drawn much. Because of that, I have nothing bad of my own to post, but I assure you, the crap of my hypothetical art would put your mistakes to SHAME.

he doesn't mean just in terms of art, he means in terms of composition, its likeness to your original idea, etc. I would LIKE to post something here, but the problem is I delete most of the stuff I'm unhappy with >:(

Heh, funny thread. I totally know the feeling, you start off feeling all good about everything being sure it will turn out great, but it ends as crap and you hate yourself.

Yeah, same here. I can't stand seeing all the crap I produce. I just delete it immediately.

I'll try to find something to post though.

Also, Zekey, what do you hate so much about your first picture? I can spot a few minor flaws, but nothing along the lines of a miserable failure. It reminds me of Curious George being that the man is dressed in all yellow.

lololololol, sorry.
I think that picture is great!! Looks like he's pissing himself on stage.

late at night, when I'm especially depressed about the over all shittieness of my art, I sometimes attempt to draw. to draw something other than the shitty little cartoonish doodles I draw. this is what generally comes out. Its entitled: I NEVER WANT TO SEE THIS AGAIN, and it makes me sad every time I see it in my files.

What makes me even more depressed is how I'd be proud of most of the things in this thread so far.

I think the only problem with that is the overuse of the smudge tool. If you hadnt done that it would have been really interesting to look at.

His arms are SO fuck up haha.

Ok this is a picture I submitted when Maddox was looking for people to illustrate his book. He didn't like it, so instead of quitting, I made another and got to work with him on the book ( though now I look at those drawings and I feel so ashamed but whatever ).
Anyways, this was not in the style he wanted, and his hands are all fucked up and he's all cramped in the frame and whatnot. I like the nerd though.

Seriously?
I'm surprised Rog still has some, we only print 100. BUY MORE YOU LOUSY SCUM
haha :O

Anyways, here's some old "new levels" I drew up in like 2004 or so. I drew them on paper, colored them in photoshop and scaled them down a lot, so they're really ugly and blurry. Though I like some of the variety in them. In the end, Retrogade used them for their forums. I think there was 30 but I can't find the others.
Man those are ugly.

Oh and in the same vein, here's some more whistles that I made when they introduced the whistle system back in er... 2005? It was sorta lame to have only 5 levels of them.
I like these I guess it's not really "failed art" but they just never went anywhere :(

Well i dunno... if he still got more of them. I just ordered one, yesterday o.O The page was still there. Atm on a lookout when/if it gets in my mailbox, waiting to fold my hands around it xP It would be unfair of me to empty Rogs load since this is a rare opportunity for everybody else to own issue #7... if it isnt already sold out >_< I hope not lol.

Are you sure RG used those ones? Only old ones I ever found were these. It's possible there was another set I never saw in use though, and you and Chrom are the only one's ever credit with making the icons.
