So, I'm breaking in the tablet.

Well, I got a tablet laptop for college (I didn't have a choice, it's a college tech program that dictates what computers we get- not that I'm complaining), so I've decided to practice some drawing on it.

I'm not really a good artist through any media I try, but I figured, what the hell, maybe someone will get a kick out of my shit. These are just some relatively quick sketches I came up with, taking me no more than 20 to 30 minutes each, by rough estimate. Maybe time seems to go by really slow when I draw, but looking at how simple the drawings are, I guess I just take a ridiculous amount of time to draw stuff that was never good in the first place.

I know it's crap. I never thought it was very good. It's really the first freehand drawing I've done on my tablet, anyway. Besides, I've got some time to kill, and I figure "why the hell not?"

That one took me the longest. Bacon-Jesus didn't turn out as well as I wanted, probbaly because of the lack of color, but I wanted to keep the sketch in shades of black and white instead of using other primary colors (don't ask me why, I'm compulsive about it for some reason).

I don't know how much better I can do, really. I've never been good at drawing. Only goofy things of mine seem to turn out halfway decent. Actual artistic motor skills elude me. I should see if my college offers any art electives and try to develop some skill.

I find tablets are really good for tracing people and faces (actually anything). It's much nicer to drag a pen across the tablet then a mouse across a pad.
