Havent bumped this in awhile. No real new developments, Kirk's meeting location sounds the most reasonable. Also, I'm going to be in the area earlier in the week so if anyone wants to hang out prior to the saturday meet as a smaller group just PM me.. if i recall mogly and luksy are doing that.

Sometimes its easier to meetup with a larger group when you are going into it feeling comfortable in knowing that some people you will already have made contact with. I think we're going to go pub hopping with SFB Tom or something.

Yeah, Munting. I knew I had heard it called that before, but I digress... I may come along earlier, during the day time, but only for a few hours probably, if that.

Heres a preliminary gameplan suggested by SFB - Tom ..... it sounds good to me.
Any objections or suggestions go ahead and post em here. Theres still another 2 weeks or so left, more than enough time to sort it.

======================================

Meet around waterloo station. Easy to find, big open areas for spotting people.

Then catch the tube to picadilly for the trucadero, which is a 5-story arcade heaven, with bowling and pool too.

When we're done there, we're a short walk from covent garden, for street entertainment and shops. Also, oxford street about a minutes walk, so huge ammounts of shops.

Then in the evening, covent garden and leicester square next door are some of the best places to go out in london, so we can head to bars and pubs and stuff. Also lots of food about.

Tom-

You're coming over here? Cool!

Here's a little translation guide:

Innit - Isn't it
Blud - Homie (nearest American word I can think of)
Luv/Lav - Love
1 GB Pound - 0.8 US Dollars
'at - that
wotevaa - I do not care
am i bovvered? - i am a hosehead who thinks i look cool imitating Catherine Tate
you startin'? - i want to fight you for probably no reason at all
holiday - vacation
say - for example (Don't apply this to every "say")

The list could go on.

Oh, and generally, English people over 18 won't start a conversation with their name, they'll start with a small topic, say if you were in a gift shop, youi'd start the conversation with someone about who they were buying for, congratulate them if it's a baby or a wedding or comment on how nice that it is if it's someone's birthday. And just before you leave, turn around and say, "Oh, I didn't catch your name." or "What was your name again?"

There you go.

Me too, Covent Garden isn't too far from Charing Cross, which is were I'll be getting the train home from. I'm all for this plan.

I object to this plan on the basis it's exactly what I was thinking we'd do anyway.

Man. This is exactly what I did the LAST time I met someone from the net in London. I was seventeen then... Time flies and nothing changes...

Yes. Waterloo's the best place to meet up seeing as it's right in the center of the city and is the connection point for three or four of the busiest Underground links (as well as the South's rail system). And center of London is the best place to slack off as a group. Funland Trocadero IS something we're all going to have to do - although god help us if one of us gets lost.

Thats a terrible equation!

pissed != off your tits != off your face != monged != plastered != drunk

Granted, they all describe being drunk, but they're all different stages:

Merry < Tipsy < Drunk < Pissed < Sloshed < Fucked < Cained < Out The Game

Welcome to the British Isles. The same number of accents as America, but concentrated in a land mass the size of New Jersey... Just remember to change most of your Zs for S's and to put back the U in colour and you can possibly get by just by holding up signs and pretending that you have no vocal chords...

This is going on Saturday the 8th of September 2007. No exact time yet. We'll make that decision on Sept 1

It changes, i think its probably still a bit too early to name an exact list but im fairly sure these people are going:

SuperFlashBros Tom + Dim
Me
Mogly
Kirk-Cocaine
Delta
*Luksy

=========

I think the following people said they were but i havent talked to them so who knows:

Wonchop
JPI
zoy
Floppydiskclock

and some other people... but im too lazy to check the thread. Once we start nailing things down ill mass pm everyone who said they were interested to give em concrete details and see if they are in or not. But atleast 7 people are gonna be there...not including you
