Wow NG has an art forum!

Okay, here's one of my best! Done with a black gel pen. Its a bad scan (actualy I use a digital camera) but you can take a much better look at it HERE
I'd much apreciated comments and critisism.

This is kinda my own style that I've been working on for a long time.

Here's another pic, this one's small enough to not have to link you off somewhere else for a better version (in fact the rela picture is in a notepad which is smaller than the image you see before you).

Maybe a BIT too 'confusing' though.... then again its just me :P

Heh, well being perfectly honest it looks alot better IRL, the contrast in light and dark shows up over different sections and shizzle like that...

As for the 2nd pic, I like it too, though Im still confused with the revelance (is that the right word anyway?) witht the stuff in it (i.e tank) :P

You should perhaps make a monster (aparently you like drawing those :P ) in the middle (quite like in the 1st one), then add a gloomy background that goes with it... or something smiliar to the 2nd pic :P

Hm, BTW, you wouldnt know where to get Paint Shop Pro 9 (at least trial version).... just asking, since Windows XP kinda like... messed my whole computer resulting in a COMPLETE memory wipe and having to install a new windows XP . There I lost not only every goddam game, but my programs (mostly recovered expect for the PS Pro 9), EVERY song (nooooooo!) and what was extremely painfull.... my art ( those microsoft fools are gonna pay for that... maybe).

Luckily I had drawn my char for only 2 pics worth, but they took me +4 hours each (urgh)...

Btw, does the name "Kamata" sound exotic but you'd still be able to regonize it as a female-ish name?

Wow you have a lot to say.

This isnt the only sorta thing I do but yeah, I know its mostly just random stuff but I like it nonetheless. The second picture I actualy called "This house of demons and parasites" and was based on the architechture of a governmetn building I was in (say no more).

I use PSP7 and have it on disk so no I don't. It's easily the best tool for resizing and optimizing scanned pics though.

Yeah that name is good.

Yeah I too know the pain of loosing everything (including 2-3 weeks worth of an animation I have now abandonned!!!).

Here's another picture i'm rather proud of. I kinda experimented with different types of shading on this but it somehow came out looking all good and propper 8D So there we are.

Although the general category (mech) is quite used (who wouldnt want to draw a 30 meter walking warmachine?), you still are able to put a nice, original looking touch to it.

I like your style.
The contrast of darkness and light seems bit blurry from your camera.
A good way to fix that is to change the mode on your camera to night mode and go into a dark room.
Your art will look alot better that way, but besides that your style is very clean and detailed you did a good job, an even better job if your new to drawing.

Heh, I've been drawing since I was a little kid and I'm now about 15, so I'm not new to drawing, and to the other guy, no I don't just scribble on paper, go bug someone else.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that some time. I do do some things in colour ( V ). But I am rather new to that since I never realy liked colouring as a child. I'll submit something of a different style later also.

The first one in this thread works very well. Although the composition could been soo much stronger.

Maybe try to dark down the white areas around the middle, because that would bring the attention directly to it.

Oh here's my first attempt at using photoshop to draw and colour properly...I realy kinda prefer to just sit and draw infront of the TV or something though :/ Gets less boring for me that way, although some people say they can't be creative while watching TV o_O

(yes I know the writing is screwey I was just too bored of the summer holidays by that moment XD)
