Or better yet, spider/pig things.
Spider pig, spider pig, does whatever a spider pig does. Lookout, here comes a spider pig.
Anyways, who cares if evolution has "Technically" stoped for humans? If we clearly are able to change our environment to suit us, then why should it matter?

eh, no? how did you manage to think this up? the earth doesn't take orders from us lol- for all we know an unexpected magnetical balance could cause the world to go into a state of chaos for all we know- we cant control earths actions. Sure, we can control ourselves somewhat, but thats about it. The funny thing is- the past 100 years are supposed to be the best 100 years of inventions- when in turn, it can also be the downfall of our kind- stupid people will still overtake most of the earth. heard of AIDS? thats a little hard of a virus to stop. cant control that- we cant make infertile humans fertile again- and even if these babies are genetically modified to be a certain gender- there is still a chance that it can fail. in time these things will occur and the theory of evolution will be more understandable- we will most likely annex another planet in the mere future for our own use- since people cant use this 'abortion" you talk about.... little kids have sex and totally screw up that plan and over populate the world because sex is so damn overrated. well- thats my opinion ;D, choui

Exactly. Us humans have become such a creature of perfection that it doesn't matter. the only thing can stop us is our ourselves.
Or the Decepticons.

You're totally right...
Hell, we still have monkeys running countries.
Yay, Obama won. Let's thank his supporters:

dont also give into the fact that nothing ever stops evolving- evolving is basically adapting to what environmental change has occurred. so no, we are still adapting- its like obesity, its not a disease, its an evolutionary fact for certain parts of the world. in a place where there is no food, this evolution occurs allowing for certain people with this trait to hold on to food easier- and when it was introduced to the world of fast food and other foods that are always at hand- they eat everything and have a hard time burning it off because their bodies evolved to be that way.

Isolation. Simple solution.
cant control that- we cant make infertile humans fertile again- and even if these babies are genetically modified to be a certain gender- there is still a chance that it can fail. in
Cloning. Genetic engieneering. Mankind is at a point that the very secrets of our genetics is a short grasp away. At that point, we could simply mix a few A-T's with G-C's to create beings tolerant of any threat.
We are invincible. Face it.

Take that nature!
Seriously though, evoloution takes thousands or even millions of years to yield a noticable effect
It's not something which can be applied to the present because humans now are essentially not that much different from people at the turn of the century.
Jump back 2-3 thousand years, there'll be your subtle differences

Extraterrestials...
There existance is very doubtful, and even so they may exist it wouldn't be plausable for them to make contact with us.

its a fact. and we will NEVER be betetr then nature, we rely on its objects to survive so in reality...nature owns us, if we destroy it, we die
That's not what he's getting at. He means that we've stopped natural selection.
Sick people get sick because they are weak.
Then they die, or at least they're supposed to.
Now that they're dead, they've removed themselves from the gene pool and have prevented future generations from inheriting their weakness. By eliminating weakness, they've strengthened the species.
But sick people get cured and their children inherit that weakness, and so do their children and their children and so on.
so your whole " we own nature" thing, that is COMPLETELY false..can anyone say "Katrina"?
No, we do pwn a part of nature.
When someone gets sick we cure them, and if there is no cure we keep striving until we find one for every condition.
And then they would live on and perhaps pass their biological weakness into the gene pool, if it weren't for our ability to remove that genetic weakness from the embryo.
When you speak about us depending on nature's rescources, you're talking about the part of nature we're neglecting. We exhaust all natural rescources in our quest to become immortal. While we get better, nature gets worse, and will eventually re-pwn us.
And also I can move hurricanes.

Tommyun, it's a clever theory, but it's kind og wrong. I mean, yes, as someone said, we're getting taller. We're also still having hot people fuck hot people, and the internet nerds go wife-less.
I think you're mixing up global warming with evolution.

Oh, and also, I would argue that with such a large population, the effects of evolution are going to take a lot longer to be recognized on a mass scale.

how did I mix up a climate change with the theory of artificial selection?!
Care to explain, but before that reread my first post and make sure you understand what is implied with artificial selection. Us as humans, in theory, will maintain a constant environment, so that we do not need to adapt rather we make our environment adapt to our needs.
but then again, how can we define superiority?

Humans no longer need to evolve naturally, we haven't since we created the first tools and suddenly discovered we could manipulate the environment to suit our needs. Now we steer evolution through vaccines, genetic research and cybernetics. Soon we'll achieve technological singularity and enter a post-human era. In other words, we will intiate the next evolutionary change ourselves.

Nah we are still evolving, our bodies are still getting rid of parts that we dont need. Probably in the future, we won't have out pinky fingers or little toes. We just aren't changing our bodies to live.

Actually blonde is a recessive gene, so there's less and les of them all the time. Eventually, as the human race continues to interbreed, natural blondes will become extinct.

We're constantly evolving. Maybe not physically but mentally. Humans are further devolping and becoming more intelligent at an amazing rate as we discover more and more about the world.
