I tried a new way for the voting method, i hope its not to confusing, the entrys are ~HERE.
Vote anywhere, here or the link.
Rules
1 - Only vote for one user (highlighting their name with bold is helpful)
2 - You can't vote for yourself
3 - A reason isn't necessary but is welcome, along with C+C
4 - This is concept art, so don't just vote on art quality
5 - Keep discussion over votes down, arguing over reasons is pointless, nobody so far has changed someone else's mind, so give up
6 - You don't have to participate to vote

PandaMime, no offense or anything, I know you are a really clever person, who has my deepest respect. Anyways, your entry , techically was not "finished" and creatively it might have been so , for you.
Your entry gives me this strong 2D feeling, that many people consider "bad"
In the background, the colors should be quite desatured, while in the foreground, they should
contain many values, ( the whole scale if possible, depending on color of objects / skin etc )
and be quite saturated. The further away from the viewer you come, the more it will be attached to the background. It will loose all values, and look very flat. it doesn't matter if its flat if its in the background , as the human eye is used to seeing shapes fade away , when they appear to be far away.
When something is in front of you in an enviroment, and you are standing under , example a roof, you will see that those things appear almost black to you. and using dark colors in the foreground will also creat some depth.
In your drawing, theres a plane, theres a character and theres something else which i can't exactly tell what it is. Anyways, the character and the plane does have almost the same values, which put the m on the same dimension on the paper, it doesn't look 3D at all, it looks almost like a wall of different, slightly different values put together.
You also used a Black shadow, using the colors as in ¤000000 the darkest black you can get. This
is definently harming your piece as you've tried to combinate it with skin, and ground. Which both are
colors which are not seen in the black and white value gradient.
Reflected colors should always be warm, which in real life sometimes act as the shadow for the object, and shadows should almost always be cold. Cold = Blue, purple etc, Warm = Red, Yellow etc.
Depending on the setup for your scene, different colors act as warm and cold. You can't always use the same red shade as a light, and you can't always use the same shade of blue, as shadow.
But anyways, as long as your piece isn't black &white , don't use black as shadow!
Also, you have to get the ground some sort of texture, now its the same from ground to sky, and it looks like a wall. Apply what i told you before, and also apply some sort of texture.
Alot of what i've said goes in one go, "Perspective" You have troubles with perspective , and its really killing your piece as well. Most basic art-books apply good knowledge on this subject, try to find one who does, and learn about it! Theres also a lot of perspective stuff on 1,2 and 3point perspective
on the internet. Just shout me a pm and i will get you some!
Keep it up, as i said, you seems to be a clever person, and I'm sure you can use your full potential and grow fast as an artist!

None taken. Brilliant advice =D
This is the third piece I have colored, and I don't mean on the computer, I mean in my entire fucking life, so I'm still very early in my learning process.
I know I have a problem with perspecive =(. The troubling parts inn the background are there because I had to do it in like 10 minutes at 11:30 on sunday. Luckily, I have a week off from (american) football, so I should get more drawing time this week.
And now that I'm not so pissed off, I vote for:
LaserKarl
Also, the reason I got angry about mine not being included was not because I thought mine was amazing, but... just look at it in comparison to some of the entries. It looks more finished than some that were included in the finished part, doesn't it?

Hafta say Dile
Looks ready enough for me, and it is something I might expect fallout-mutation creature to look like. Big, dark and evil...
