Newground's response to "B" was sort of like the critical reaction to "Freddy Got Fingered". Most people just thought it was dumb, Ebert gave it zero stars, but it developed a cult following and became a cult classic. Even Ebert said later that he remembered it over a year later because, awful as it was, it was daring to do something unique and be completely unashamed of it.
