Why do you frequent Newgrounds?

Seeing as this site has many niches, populated with many regular faces (or names rather), I wonder, what keeps you guys around? Is it the forums? The portal? Some users never/hardly post on the BBS, while some never/hardly visit the portal.

Do you like the community, the humor, the site history? I'm just curious. I mainly stay here because I enjoy seeing the way the NG community, even with the many differences in political or social views, seems to generally share the same comedic and artistic values. It's fun to watch small projects turn into a person's full time job.

Anyways, your reasons?

I don't think it's a bad thing to be here a lot. Who knows, you might pick up on some ideals, spread your own, or find some amzingly hot chick to pick up. They promise that stuff in the brochure.

Currently I'm working on my first flash, so the portal is one reason. Also this website probably has the best BBS ever, sure there are a lot of losers here that have nothing better to do than give people a bad day, but in the end the good outweigh the bad.

I don't think it's a bad thing to be here alot either. In fact, I love the site and I've found some great users here. It's slightly different when I managed to stay active on here for a personal record of 26 hours.

Everybody in the Wi/Ht? section try the best they can to assist anybody who needs help. There were at least three responses to your topic in a matter of minutes. Just ignore anybody that bugs you, that's all you have to do.

The site has always managed to find its way. The staff wanted the redesign to change NG, but I think part of it hast to be the community going with it, you know?

A bit of everything really. I enjoy the humour (when it's witty), the people on here are great - you get to be a bit more open about yourself, as the majority of people on here are friendly - and I do find the history of Newgrounds interesting, how Tom Fulp has become a self made millionaire (I think).

Before the redesign, I spent most of my time on the forums, as there used to be a sharp increase after you reached level 9, and I lost the motivation to deposit. But now, with each level acquiring a small bit of power, I feel like I'm back in control and I deposit every day when I can.

If I had to choose one feature that attracts me to Newgrounds the most, it would have to be the forums, which bears the friendly community, and allows me to get things off my chest and generally be myself.
